Good hospital all around. They took care of my dog and I like the vet. She seems kind and knowledgeable. I would say that they should improve appointment scheduling. We were scheduled for 2:30, and when I got there to check my dog in, I was moved to 2:45. My dog gets anxious. It would have been nice to have had a verbal confirmation of the change.

Hello, I would like to know if you could cut the ears of an 11-week-old Doberman there. I would appreciate it if you could help me with that, thank you

i WILL NOT BE TAKING MY DOGS BACK THERE. FIRST OFF I WAS ONLY GOING THERE BECAYSE MY DOG'S VET RETIRED SO I HAVE BEEN OVERWHELMED AND SCRAMBLING TO FIND ANOTHER VET TO TAKE MY DOG TOO. I FEEL THAT THEY ARE PRICE GAUGING. I HAVE 4 DOGS SO I KNOW HOW EXPENSIVE VET VISITS ARE, HOWEVER, THEY WANTED TO TAKE XRAYS WHICH COST X AMOUNT OF MONEY AND THEN I HAVE TO PAY AN ADDITIONAL CHARGE TO SEND THEM SOMEWHERE ELSE TO HAVE THEM READ AND THEN THE LAB WORK AND THEN THE OFFICE VISIT.THEN THEY OFFER THESE PLANS WHICH I WOULD HAVE BEEN GOOD WITH, HOWEVER, THAT IS SUPPOSED TO COVER THE XRAYS BUT IT DOESNT COVER THE FACT THEY HAVE TO SEND THEM OUT TO ANOTHER LAB. THEN AFTER ALL IS SAID AND DONE MY DOG WILL STILL GO HOME WITH NO REMEDY UNTIL THE LAB IS ABLE TO VIEW THE XRAYS.

Staff was friendly. However, they need to be better educated on the hours of operations as they scheduled us for the 26th, and we show up to find they were closed and the petsmart employees informed us this isn't the first time they've done this.

I am going to be honest. I have worked at Banfield before, I know what the vets and staff have to go through. This is a very tough job, emotionally, physically, and mentally. However, that is no excuse for being condescending, demeaning, and demoralizing to your clients. I pay every month for my four dogs to be on wellness plans, it’s not cheap. I want them to have the best care possible. I drive over two hours to see the vet here because I want my dogs to always be up to date on their shots and dental cleanings and I love doing the routine bloodwork because you can’t always tell when your dogs are sick otherwise. I have one Great Pyrenees mix (if you are familiar with them, they are guardian dog breeds meaning they tend to bark at everything and have some level of stranger anxiety) I raised my dog since she was six weeks old. She was separated at four, left in a barn with goats and about twenty other accidental puppies, received no socialization, and had to fight the other puppies for food. I raised both her and her half brother and they are both anxious, neurotic, and terrified of strangers. They were never hit, abused, or treated with anything other than love on a horse farm on 5 acres with about 10 other dogs of varying ages. I have gone out of my way to restructure my entire life around her needs. She will forever be a management case and has to be sedated to even go into the vet. Please trust me when I say focused behavioral training HELPS but she was born the way she was and I cannot change her personality. She is very anxious and fearful of many things. When she is scared, she no longer responds to her training or even treats. I hate seeing her so shut down during fireworks or when the neighbors have their dogs out or kids are being loud outside. I want her to live a happy life free from stress and anxiety as much as possible. I have worked with her for years now and I am at a point where I’m just trying to keep her happy despite the severe anxiety. I asked Banfield if we could discuss doing a trial run of Prozac. I have heard from many other dog owners that this can help alleviate their dog’s anxiety and help their dog respond to training. My dog is very timid about being taken to the back and I asked if the procedures can be done in front of me. I know what goes into them and would have been happy to hold my own dog, as she trusts me the most. The vet came back and said they wanted her in the back even though I specifically set up this visit so I could stay with her! I could not believe how my request was completely ignored and the vet wouldn’t even come talk to me herself about why my dog couldn’t stay but the room with me. The vet then denied my request for Prozac (no discussion), berated me for not hiring a professional dog behaviorist (something incredibly hard to find in an unregulated field not to mention, in the area I live in), chastised me for about thirty minutes straight about how I am not providing a good enough home for my dog, then recommended I look into rehoming and implied I couldn’t take care of my four dogs. This is a really interesting way to treat a person who had to drug their dog with trazodone (which she hates being on and makes her more anxious) at THEIR request, drive two hours, and pay monthly hundreds of dollars for all four of their dogs to received this “quality care”. Do you know how easy it is to rehome a dog who won’t let you have guests over? Forget it if you have a family, she hates children. I’m glad that the veterinarian here attended years of schooling just to tell her clients that they can’t take care of their dogs and to go somewhere else because she wasn’t willing to entertain a trial run of Prozac and thinks medicating a dog is “cruel and inhumane”. Does this veterinarian think that humans with anxiety or depression just need behavioral training as well? I’d really like to know. Maybe she can provide therapy to depressed patients and tell them to pull themselves up by their bootstraps. Absolutely ridiculous. I will NOT be taking my dogs here EVER again.

Banfield Pet Hospital is very conveniently located inside Petsmart. Next time my pet dog needs veterinarian care, I will take him here.

I was very skeptical about coming here because of the reviews. But I had to give it a shot because every other vet wouldn't have been able to see her until October. everyone that I've spoken to were very nice and I've learned a lot from this visit. My cat is overweight and obese but they were very respectful about it and did not degrade me because of it. The food I had to buy was very pricy but it'll last a while. The bill was a lot but the wellness plan that they provided helped with that bill. I thought my cat was going to be aggressive during her first visit but everyone said that she wasn't and that lifted so much weight on my chest. I would 10/10 recommend this place. if anyone is worried how much the bill would be after a visit- look into the wellness plans they provide because they will help you out so much.

The vet took the time to sit with us and go over all of our options for our pet. My dog doesn't love the vet, but the staff made him feel so welcomed and comfortable!

Service was good. Staff very friendly and informative. Was kept abreast of every step they thought or took with my little boy. Felt like they really cared about my boy. Would definitely recommend. Prices are also reasonable v other pet hospitals.

Their customer service is horrific, scheduling appointments incorrectly and offering no solutions coupled with long wait times.. a shame considering they are one of the only available clinics in the area.Edited to add - one month later experienced the same conflict with scheduling. What a mess. Horrible customer service and processes.
