I am writing to express my extreme disappointment and concern regarding an incident of discrimination I witnessed at the Dollar General on Robert's Lane in Oildale, CA, today, May 21, 2025, around 4:15 PM.
My significant other, Paul (who is Mexican), and I, Tylisha (who is Black), went to your store to make a purchase. After realizing we had forgotten our bank card at home, we briefly left the store. Upon exiting, the employees working the front registers thought it would be a good idea to yell 'walk out' at us. Despite this unprofessional and discriminatory behavior, we returned to the store to purchase the items we intended to buy.
The employees' actions were completely unacceptable and made us feel targeted and disrespected. Yelling 'walk out' at us, especially given our ethnicities, suggests a bias and creates a hostile shopping environment. I hope Dollar General takes this matter seriously and addresses the behavior of its employees at this location.

went in there I wanna say about a month ago and I asked a guy with green hair and had a bold spot on the back of his head where the zip log bags where and he rudely said oh there on the other side of the store instead of helping me find them he rudely walked away

Love most of the employees and shop here near everyday but buying something on clearance for literally 4x the price it originally was is too much. That's pure greed and considering how many low income and homeless people rely on this location it's disgusting and shameful.

Unprofessional, one cashier was flirting with people before I was next in line. I said, “Hi I was your day” and got ignored. He forgot one of my items I had to go all the way back to get it. Someone made a comment about the heat making people mad but that clearly why I wasn’t upset, I was upset having to go all the way back there because someone didn’t do there job.

The Robert's ln. D.G.M, is always long lines and NOTHING ON THE SHELVES! I don't even know why the store is in business with empty spaces where products should be it's ridiculous....

this dollar general is awesome,the general manager dennis is also a great person in general,have seen him stop people from stealing items,and yet turn around and offer them something to eat and drink instead of chasing them off or calling the police on them,we need more people like that in this world :) he even had told them if your hungry just ask and ill do what i can for you :)

There are too many homeless people at the front asking for money, also shooting up in the parking lot and inside by the carts - management needs to handle that.i don't let my wife go by herself. I try to avoid going here. I wish I could give negative stars.

I made an online order. And like another customer on here mentioned they “delayed” my order and just because after decided to cancel!!! Workers are LAZYYYYYY!!!!! You need to do better dollar general…

I placed an online pick-up order and instead of letting me know they canceled my order, they notified me it was "delayed" and making me wait several hours. Then they canceled it without a proper excuse. Forget the homeless issue, just give them some change and they'll step back. The real issue here is the lazy staff. I really wanted my items, so I went to the store, and I found EVERYTHING on my list.

Very poor. General manager does not care. Lives in a hotel. If you notice he favors employees. Dairy manager is untouchable. Something about winning a termination case. The new Gm needs to clean house and start over. To many employees turn there head and people walk out the door with cases of product. The Gm favors the women over the guys. For someone who is a general manager. You would think he would do a walk through. To see milk all over doors dried. You wonder why this store only can make it on the poor's ebt. Very poorly ran......
