I purchased two planters yesterday at the Dollar General at 2317 Chester Ave. no one informed me that they were not returnable since apparently they are called seasonal items even though I have seen planters in the store you’re around regardless when I brought them back today after purchasing them yesterday still with their original tags and with my receipt and asked if I could return them or exchange them or have in store Credit and the manager here named Melissa told me that she did not do any such thing there are no returns on seasonal items no indoor Credit no exchanges. And her reasoning was that she said because I was rude to her I was not rude to her when I came in the store I said hi and she said can I help you and I said yes are you the manager and she said yes I am and I told her that I had purchased these two items yesterday there’s nothing wrong with them other than they’re not big enough And she proceeded to tell me the store policy and I said yes I understand that I didn’t see it written anywhere posted anywhere but I understand that now so can you make an exception and she said you’re not listening you’re interrupting me which I had not interrupted her and I had listened to her And I said well then what are our options can we do indoor Credit or an exchange and she said I already told you what our policy is and I said yes I understand that can we do an in store Credit or an exchange as your coworker already told me was possible And the coworker was standing there I looked at the coworker and the coworker said well I’m not the manager but you already told me you were the assistant manager and you offered me in store Credit Melissa then said well I don’t like how you’re talking to me you’re talking rude to me and interrupting me so I’m not gonna serve you at all. I told her that she needed some more training as a management because she was being extremely rude and she said no you’re being rude which I wasn’t being rude. I think perhaps at this store and this location she is a custom to people trying to cheat the store which I was not trying to do so that carries over to how she treats customers I will never shop at this one again. And I will tell my neighbors not to shop here either For this One manager

Not happy about cart situation only two in-store and we're in use. So I had to hand carry my items. Employees don't care or don't value you as a customer.

went in today about 3 hours ago asked an employee there where the zip lock bags are and he rudely said there across the other side of the store and walked off to the back may never come back again to this place he couldn't take 2 seconds of his time to properly show me where they where

The store is always very dirty and unorganized. The last time I was in there, the emergency exits were blocked off with products, so fire hazard. Extremely high theft rate. Since the remodel, the isles are narrower and look harder for a disabled person in a mobility cart,wheel chair etc to get around in there. A majority of the staff are rude and snakes for mangers. An employee by the name of Carlie Lightner is particularly rude and hostile to customers. She was trespassed from the shopping center, but Dollar General hired her anyway. The store doesn't work with Gleaners or churches, etc, for expired products that are still editable.

Always great. Always friendly. Just wish they would stop leaving the stuff in the walkway. I trip. Never fully stocked with what I went for. Still shop there. I'm there for various things through out the week.

It's a good store as far as Dollar Generals go. It's not an actual dollar store, but everyone knows that already I'm sure.

So this location has really paranoid and rude cashiers I was immediately thrown out of the store by the cashier and when I asked what she didn't give me an explanation I go here all the time cuz it's around the corner I'd go back if the cashier's weren't so rude but now imma just not go there any more and wouldnt recommend anyone going there anymore either

The only way this store survives is welfare sales. It's not your products that are bad. Your management team is burned out. Think about this, you have a general manager having to stay in a hotel away from his family. On top retire him already. Your deli manager thinks he is untouchable do to the fact you have tried to fire him in the past. Allen has and is the best in that store. Have him be Dennis replacement.
