Not good experiences except with Jacob. I misbehaved perhaps. I'll own that. However, I've spent 1,000's of $$$$ there and I'd expect a tad better execution from the security staff.

Showed up today around 11am was not asked for assistance. When I went to the cashier I asked if they had a certain guitar in stock. The guy said he would check the back after he helped another customer. The other customer took about 7 min to get whatever it was they were trying to get. After that the cashier went to the back and helped a different customer put a drum set in a car. Completely ignoring me and my wife. Racist only helped the white customers because he thinks they had money. Should have checked what I was driving I would probably have had the cashier trying to cater me. Oh well. This place stinks

The Bakersfield store is HORRID. I purchased a used Jackson bass from them. I asked them to make sure everything works. They promised me that bass is "perfectly functional". Bass arrives and electronics do NOT work. Graphic eqalizer does not work. The local guitar center said that they are willing to repair it if Bakersfield store pays them. Bakersfield store refuse to pay for repairs, refused to repair and refused to discount the item (so I can have it repaired somewhere else). Horrid customer service, very dishonest (if they would bother to check the bass, as they promised they would know that electronics are FUBARed), and they do NOT stand behind their products. Ricardo is the WORST, he even lied to me that they are not allowed to give out district manager contact info.

I love music. They have guitars galore. However, I went there to find a DJ Controller. They had no controller out to see and try. They had some in boxes way up on a shelf. They said I couldn't get one down to look at. If I'm going to buy something like that I want to look at it first. It was hard to get anyone's attention for help. I thought the customer service was poor. Being a woman in a store full of guys.....well I wasn't treated very nicely. Seemed they didn't want to help me with anything. They were rude I thought. My friend thought so too.

There are generally two places that people think they are often too cool to provide good customer service...tattoo shops and guitar shops. Buy from the smaller locally owned instead. I walked in bought some guitar picks but intended to buy headphones and monitor speakers but they decided they were too busy comparing mullets to help.

Amazing experience for this Utahan on vacation with family. I purchased a beginner acoustic guitar on Amazon for my somewhat autistic 16 year old grandson. He was cruel when he opened it on Christmas day, complaining it was cheap and he wanted a $1500 electric guitar. Mind you, he never has played a guitar before. He said he cannot play on a "$50" guitar. He immediately broke a string and this just supported his supposition that it was a cheap guitar and complained throughout Christmas day how awful it was. We took him to Guitar Center on Ming Avenue in BAKERSFIELD. The place was swamped with customers. Fortunately a wonderful employee, Brandon A helped us. We needed a replacement string to which Brandon got and I explained we have no experience with guitars. He quickly strung it. We needed better string also as a backup supply. Brandon got a higher quality string set. I had other questions as to how to take out the little broken piece and he explained how it is done. I asked if he sold that tool. We bought one. We also purchased a tuner. All this while Brandon was answering the phone, having to walk away moments at a time unlocking display cases and ringing up other customers. Finally, I asked him if he would quickly ear tune the strings and quickly play something for my grandson, as my grandson was autistic and did not believe anything could be played on a cheap $50 guitar along with fact that my grandson is lefthanded and was mad at me for not getting him a left handed guitar. Brandon did so, and as well checked out a customer and while helping a customer on the phone played a sweet soft tune using both hands' fingers instead of strumming with one hand. My grandson saw this and said, "Wow." I asked Brandon a couple of other questions to which he answered quickly and thoroughly and in just the right tenor that this autistic teenager understood. The ride home my grandson was quiet for the first time in almost two days. When we arrived home, my grandson calmly and with astute resolution began plinking away on this $50 guitar in his room. I firmly believe in my grandson's mind this was no longer a "cheap useless $50 guitar", but rather a musical instrument with no value to be placed on it as Brandon A made the guitar priceless.

After dropping off a guitar for repairing, the worker assured me that the process should be finished by the end of the day, and they would call me upon repair. A week later, I had to call the store to get an update on my guitar. 30 minutes on hold and the workers told me my guitar wasn't in the store and they'd get back to me the next day. another 3 days later and nothing. i called the store a few more times and they would always push back the date of the repair, reassuring me that the process shouldn’t take any longer.
