I highly recommend Hertz for any vehicle rental needs. The pickup process is expedited and technologically convenient, saving valuable time after a long trip. The added value based on my experience is the customer service at the Bakersfield Meadows Field. I left my suitcase with my computer and other belongings, and the executive at the front desk called me to ensure my work tools were safely protected. Hertz, you have a customer for life with my company.

If you’re looking for a car, you should just buy one. They don’t have cars to rent to you. If you don’t believe me, go drive there yourself and ask, because no one picks up the phone when you call.

HORRIBLE and RUDE. I called because online it shows cars available and when I called to make sure I said “hey I want make sure the inventory is correct because online it says you have some available” and her response was, “well, you don’t know physically what we have here so I’m letting you know we don’t.” I responded with a “hey im not trying to fight you on that I’m trying to check..” and she talked over me loudly and hung up on me..
This is after I opened with “my sister has been in an accident and needs car to get back to phoenix”
I know Bakersfield residents are known for their compassion but wow you really represented that town and this company very well.
I’ll go ahead and not deal with this company anymore. The only time I had any good customer service without being talked down to like I was some burden was not in America. It was in the UK. Shame on us here.

This is my first time renting a car thru Hertz, && I’ll definitely be a Loyal customer as long as Their employees offer the Extraordinary Customer Service Experience that I received from Tracy!! She’s the best part of Hertz by far! I made a last minute reservation on the 28th thru some rental car website had set me up for a rental thru thrifty rental cars, && I was instructed to go to Herrz at the Meadows field location, to check in && pick up the car. However, as I mentioned , this was my first car rental, && I didn’t even realize that I would obviously have to pay a deposit+Rental car daily fee, which I know was very naive of me, it really just slipped my mind, anyways I was short like $8 on my credit card, && they were already bout to close, so there was no time for me to run to put money on my debit card, + I didn’t even have a car to go put the funds on my card even if there’s was any time to do so, I had no idea what to do, however Tracy was so nice && so patient && not only did she offer a solution, which was to go thru hertz for a rental car && she’d be able to assist me && do more, she was able to get me the rental so much cheaper then Good’ol “thrifty” prices. && the whole time she just made me feel as tho getting me into a rental was just as important to her as it was to me, which she didn’t have to do, because her shift was coming to an end && she could’ve had me come back tomorrow. But she was so pleasant && handled my situation in a way that deserved recognition, because it’s genuine, she put me in a premium rental, which was clean && good on gas!! 2024 hyndai sonata hybrid thank you TRACY your customer service is the best part of Hertz

The customer service when booking doesn't know what's in the lot and can't guarantee that when you show up to pick up your rental that there will be a car for you. Even with making reservations the customer service won't notify you that there's a possibility that there will not be a car for you. We showed up to pick our rental and the lady at the desk said customer service doesn't even know what's going on at the locations. We had a reservation but there were no cars available for us day of reservation. Pretty unprofessional customer service. Unprofessional people working the front desk as well. They did not care to help. Lies is all we were told. No accountability what so ever.

Offered me a different vehicle since my reserved vehicle was not available. They mentioned nothing of an up charge or change in price and now Im dealing with corporate customer service, which can only be reached by email and take a full week to respond, to be refunded the $100 difference. The initial email response denied my request due to “change in vehicle”, so now I'm further inconvenienced having to prove the fault of Hertz to Hertz.

Car was not clean had to come back for another and lady was very rude and not helpful then when I came back I got overcharged lady there was very upset as if she was the one getting overcharged then I called customer service and a gentleman was very helpful and kind to explain the charges. Will definitely not be back

I was hung up on twice. Amanda the manager didn't wanna assist me. First & last time I'll rent a car. BAD SERVICE. (Picked up the rental) & the car shut off completely on the freeway. Luckily I was able to get to the side of the road. They never answer the phone.
