About Kern County Animal Services
Kern County Animal Services is a helpful and professional organization that assists with pet adoption, spay and neuter services, vaccinations, and pet care. Many adopters praise the staff for their kindness and dedication, noting that the shelter is a great place to find a dog or cat. Although the facility can be a bit chaotic and has some odors due to the number of dogs, it remains a positive resource for pet lovers. Staff members are appreciated for their helpfulness, especially during the adoption process. The shelter also provides important services like spay, neuter, and vaccinations, and staff are seen as caring and supportive, even in difficult situations. However, some concerns were raised about procedures for seniors, such as the inconvenience of renewing rabies certificates online and fees for tags, which are viewed as unfair. Overall, the shelter's efforts are recognized and appreciated by the community for their work in caring for animals and helping pet owners.

Had to pull a ticket with a number but it moved along fast. Paperwork was easy and was in and out.

They are efficient if you just do what they ask, and don't get difficult. Got an ADULT cat because most people only take kittens home. He adapted quicker than kittens normally do, and is already fitting in with the dog

They do good work always wanting to help save a life. They do their best and us community should be doing more to help them and others that do what they do.
