My experience here has been phenomenal. The staff here are very understanding and supportive and engaging to my child. Thank you!

My child ended up here because honestly there are very few options in Bakersfield for infant care and this was the only place I could find with 10 months out from when I needed childcare for an infant. The teachers in the infant room are without a doubt nice and so is the front staff. I was not concerned about my child’s safety.
However, I feel this center is understaffed compared to other places my children have been to. I’m sure they follow state ratios, but for the price they charge at other places I’ve seen staffing at above standards. Many days when I picked up my baby she had a pooped diaper and a rash. It happened so frequently that I had to check every day. One time my child was handed to me with a blowout and poop got all over me. The setup for naps is horrible for a sleeping environment. They have a half wall plexiglass partition but the overhead lights stay on at all times, no sound machine and no nap time for all the babies. This resulted in my baby never getting more than a single 30 min nap, when at home she’d nap for 2-4 hours. At times on the camera I’d see her passed out asleep on the floor so I feel that they just waited till the babies fell asleep from exhaustion to put them in the cribs.
She switched to another facility and her frequent diaper rashes have dropped immediately to almost no diaper rashes and she has never been handed to me with a pooper diaper at the new facility. Also, she now naps for 2 hours daily. I think the staff is good and they do what they can but the overall policies/practices leads to a poorer quality of care for the $400/week you’re paying.
Additionally in the older rooms at drop off I’d frequently see kids crying by themselves in corners. At my other kids preschool crying children were always with an adult as they redirect (frequency of crying children my older kids classes is much less). I just feel that there are higher quality places for the price they charge, but if you’re in need of a place this place is a safe environment.

Terrible customer service. Booked a tour 1 month in advance, got texts for the tour multiple times and my husband and I arrive and the front desk says they aren’t taking any enrollments when I asked this in advance and they said yes. Then she proceeds to tell me she called me yesterday. No calls in my log. What a waste of time. They had a good name and I’m very disappointed in the poor communication amongst their department.Maybe save yourself some time and not try to book here. Their internal communications seem very faulty.

The Toddler room is amazing! The teachers are always making sure each child's needs are met. I haven't ever worried about safety of My child. This team ROCKS!!! Such a warming place to send your child and know they are in good hands!

I had my daughter there for two weeks, and that was the worst two weeks of my life. On day one, I arrived to pick her up, and she was crying like she was scared and afraid. when I asked the caregiver the reason, the reply was "I don't know. They asked my husband "how you discipline her?". Totaly not recommended.

Very unprofessional, they told me they would put me on the waiting list in March and I called July to follow up, it’s another story.

My daughter attended this school for less than a year until she began kindergarten. The school claims to have a curriculum focused on STEM education, but sorely lacks in that regard. I understand that they are preschool children but I saw nothing in what they were teaching that would differentiate them from schools offering your typical activities (drawing, dancing, singing, playing). They also force the children to lay in their beds for the 3-hour or so scheduled nap time. So, if your child is not a napper this will be like 3 hours of torture for them. Can't understand why they can't have a group set aside for children that don't nap.The pros: peanut-free campus, although on Easter we found candy being offered that was not peanut allergy safe. They have a good security system and you have access to the webcam to watch your money being squandered away -- as stated above the curriculum is just your average run of the mill preschool activities promoted as STEM, and a three hour nap where your child just tosses and turns. My daughter did not like it there and was scared of starting kindergarten after that experience. But, once she began her new school (public), she fell in love with her teacher and I saw more progress in the first week than the whole 9 months she was at la petite.All-in-all: waste of money.

I love this place. It’s always scary to trust others with your children, but this place puts me at ease. The staff (all female) are very caring and are well trained. The day care is run like a school with lessons and structures times. It is really convenient that the price of daycare includes diapers, formula, meals, along with all materials for crafts and activities. They do accept community connections ( I don’t qualify for it, but figured this is good information for others that do). The daycare also has an app that is updated throughout the day with what activities, means, diaper changes, photos, notes, etc that your little one has. It’s like watching them from afar and still being involved. You can also set up autopay or pay by credit/debit or check on location.

We recently started attending La Petite . I am very pleased with my daughter's teachers from the start they have made her feel at home and comfortable. There's not one day she doesn't come home and tell us about her day at school and Miss Lupe..... My son is in the infant room and I feel the LOVE and warmth from his teachers .... We are very Happy to be part of La Petite Academy. ..

We love this La Petite. We were previously at a medium sized daycare with more of an in home feel and are so happy we moved and found this great place for our kiddos. They provide hot nutritious meals, which is much better than the uncreative straight from the fridge meals my kid was stuck with before. My son started in the ones room and loved the teachers. He is now in he twos room and the teachers look for dozens upon dozens of age appropriate milestones he should be meeting each week, cognitively, emotionally, etc. It's comforting knowing they have all these behaviors memorized (because their constantly teaching and looking out for them). My 7month old loves her teacher who has decades of infant experience. Shoes must be covered in the infant room to keep germs away from the babies as much as possible. Every single teacher, no matter if they work with my kids or not, knows my children's names and are always happy to see us. Child care is a hard job, and these great people do it well!

We visited this daycare center because as a child I drove by it every single day and it's in a decent neighborhood. The first time I went to visit, the owner/manager was ok. Maybe she didn't take me seriously or thought I was a young mom who wouldn't be able to afford. I liked it better than the other daycares so I went back for another visit with my dad, whose opinion I trust. Let's just say she was MUCH nicer that time. I decided to put my deposit of 100$ down - with some doubts. I called again because I still had doubts and asked if maybe I could ease the transition by coming to visit a couple times a week before I started. She was pretty adamantly against it. I asked if I could come in early and stay with him a while the first time I dropped him off to make him feel more comfortable - both ideas as suggested by a child development professor. she was very against that as well. I found another daycare which was ok and even recommended visiting before so I went with them. That was over 6 months ago. they haven't even called to ask when i was going to start my child there being as I left and lost a 100$ deposit. I don't care as I'm glad I didn't go there but I thought I'd let everyone know being as they charge so much.
