I love country club not only for their vast selection of craft beer/ alcohol, but their deli! I am completely obsessed with the Italian sandwich. Just have to ask for light condiments because it gets messy. Good bread and fresh deli meats/ cheeses. This is always a top contender with City Sandwich, my other fave. Nothing fancy about it but it doesn't have to be!!

I believe the owners name is Bob and seems like real nice guy, but when it comes to running a honest business he lacks this quality. I'm only writing this because I've had two problems with his store. I will only say, I think they're mayonnaise or other ingredients in their deli was tainted. I wasn't diagnosed, but I feel I got a good dose of food poisoning. Then just recently I dealt with the post office part of the business. Be careful and watch closely when Bob works behind the glass, make sure he scans your package and take the time to match the numbers on the receipt he gives you. He really drop the football on my wife's package. Since it wasn't scanned by Bob, the company she was dealing with will not ensure her contents. She has been using the post office service for a few years now. It cost her $80 for his mistake. I'm not sure if I will let them get three strikes before I quit using their services.

I usually order the tuna sandwich and it was amazing. I definitely recommend this place. They have a variety of sandwiches and salads. Their service is amazing. Bob's hospitality is simply excellent. Definitely recommend.

I come here often since I in the NE side. This place usually has the things you need. They have a little post office inside which is great but the girls in there suck. There are no other words, they hate their job and act as if they're busy. I was the only one in line and this chic looked exhausted. I'm not nice when people have attitudes. I understand we have our days but they have their days every time they're in that chair. SMH Now the deli part is what I really wanted to try. I finally did after hearing so much about it. It was okay. Nothing to rave about. I had the Cadillac and a ham and cheese pressed sandwich w provolone and some toppings. Glad I tried it but it's just not for us. I'd go to Togo's. Never disappointed there.

I used their restrooms and they were DISGUSTING!!! Mold, no toilet paper, no hand soap or paper towels!! I can only imagine how filthy the employees hands are. They use that filthy restroom and to top it off they never have soap! Avoid this place

So this was 7.49$ no greens... if you want lettuce or any other veggies you have to specifically tell them that... sauce was yummy. Ordered a tuna and asked for toasted/melt which was not at all toasted... if you can't toast that's ok just say we can't don't say ok.. we'll give them a second try but we now know we'll be more specific and make sure that we specifically ask for veggies. I gave 2 stars because they have an excellent selection for booze, but avoid the deli unless you want to babysit your sandwich being made

I ordered the California Turkey sandwich on the Pyrenees French roll. It was good, but a bit on the dry side. Maybe I missed it, but some oil and vinegar would've added more flavor to the sandwich. Also, the meat was not as much as I hoped there would've been. I do love the fact that the liquor part of the store was like a candy store for adults. Amazing selection of beers and liquor I have never even heard of! They also have a great selection of chips that most convenience stores don't carry. However, they do charge a fee if you use your credit/debit card. I love supporting local businesses, and am grateful that this establishment supports other local businesses (e.g. Pyrenees, Temblor, Rio Bravo Ranch, etc.) This place is definitely a must visit at least once in your life.

This place was a HIT for sandwiches and pasta salads when the original owners knew how to make amazing sandwiches. I used to come here many times in the mid-late 90s... Over the years, the palace is only great for the POST OFFICE. The sandwiches are horrible! Totally have gone from not great to just simply horrible. Do not waste your time or money!

Those deli girls make a damn good sandwich! If you're going in around lunch time there may be a bit of a wait but it's to be expected. Huge selection of beer and liquor is also a plus. I've been coming here pretty much my whole life and it's always so good!

This place had always been great. From the beer selections and friendly service. Brought my wife for the first time to eat at the deli and she was impressed with the sandwiches. We ate outside at the small table area. This place is literally around the corner where we live. Definitely bringing the family back.

The stores prices are and terrible customer service! Every time I go in there the workers are talking in Russian and are very rude! I have only been going to buy stamps but not anymore!

This place used to be great. I've been going here for sandwiches and craft beers for many years. It saddens me to write this negative review, but trust me it's warranted. This place just sucks now.Pros: huge selection of beer and liquor, if you're willing to overpay for everything. Sandwiches are ok, and they have a good amount of deli sides that are good. Their deli food, unlike their booze, is actually reasonably priced. Cons: the management has let this place go. The main reason I like getting sandwiches here is because in the past they've been relatively quick making the order. I used to be able to get in and out fairly quickly. But over the last few months it's been the total opposite: either nobody is in the deli, or only 1 person is, all while there's a long line of people waiting. Then, once you've gotten your sandwich, there's nobody at the counter to ring you up, so then there's a long line for that until someone finally comes from seemingly out of nowhere to start ringing people up 10 minutes later. This is all at noon too, when you'd think they'd be prepared for a few extra people trying to get food. Management really needs to address this or else I and all the regulars will stop going. It's just not worth that much of an unnecessarily long wait for just a 6/10 sandwich and overpriced booze.

This place has endless options of beer and wine to choose from. I was amazed by the various types of IPA beers and how pretty the packaging was. Some of the beer and items were super dusty and you could tell no one has touched them.
