As for the store, five stars. They’re doing their best in these tremulous post bankruptcy times but as for the new children that just got their pharmaceutical degree, we patients have been in pain longer than you’ve been alive. We don’t answer to you, you answer to our doctors. Just took 6K a month elsewhere that have no problem filling legitimate prescriptions. Remember the phrase First Do No Harm?

I’ve been coming to this specific location for as long as it’s been open for business which is in the neighborhood of 20 years give or take but the last few years this store has gotten worse, the workers have sour attitudes with customers especially the manager, the shelves are never stocked up, if anything it’s house brand products they keep on hand which isn’t very much, plus what they do have is always way over priced.

My refills always seem to be delayed or last minute even with the auto refill set up by my physician. The pharmacy drive up window worker is usually either very kind or rude, just depends on the day. Mark does not seem like he knows what he is doing at that window, makes me want to scan and sign out my own prescription at this point. The only positive is they always answer calls.

Been here several times no one is at the front. Myself and another customer were waiting over five minutes, I had to search the store for “Rosemary” and have her come to the front so we could check out. It’s very easy for a criminal to walk out of this store without even being seen. Shelves are out of stock and to take up space they fill every isles empty spots with water. Also why is their ice cream service closed and “out of order”? It might be laziness.

This is a great location for your medication needs. The employees in the pharmacy will come to know you and become friends to help you with your medical needs.

Friendly employees, but a very disgruntled and discriminatory store manager. My family and I have lived nearby this particular establishment for a year and a half, and have always gone there for our medications (and the occasional ice cream). Since it was so close by, I figured I may as well apply as a form of some additional income.
I walked in for an scheduled interview, and the store manager (an old, white, bald man with a beard) wouldn't even shake my hand. I apologized for showing up for the interview early, and he ignored me. Even though they had my information already in the system, he made me fill out by hand an application. He then proceeded to grill me regarding my previous employment, and how some of such employment was by his opinion to be exactly as working at Rite Aid, and why don't I just go back? So basically, during a Rite Aid interview, he positioning me to apply somewhere else (which is just a tad detrimental to the general hiring process).
It was the very first time I have ever left an interview before it was finished, but I have never felt so demeaned and belittled during an interview in my entire life. I also found out later he txted the other hiring manager before she even clocked on to besmirch my good name (which is just a little on the scuzzy side). Just because I happen to wear rings and chains as part of my street clothes doesn't mean that a manager can discriminate when I come in with khakis and a sonoma button-up shirt.
I was a frequent customer first, and an applicant second, but now I don't think I can stomach to shop there anymore (just goes to show that some people think they can treat you any way they want because they are in a supposed position of power). Would explain why there is consistently a Trump merchandise stand standing outside the building, however.
Update: the trump stand that has vanished cooincidentally after this post popped back up after two weeks. Guess Rite Aid is fine being represented as such.....I would say boycott but they just came out of bankruptcy....

Well, if you don't mind having the cashier at this store tell a customer that it's OK to place their flea infested, hair shedding, stinky dog on the same counter where you will be placing your items to be purchased, then this is the Rite Aid for you. Just nasty and not at all sanitary! I ended up using the self checkout for my purchase. I wonder if these employees know that the self checkout stations will be making their jobs not necessary in the near future?
(P.S. I visited this Rite Aid on Sunday 8/04/24 at 11:47am.)

The pharmacy workers here are terrible well it’s one older gal with her head shaved on the side. Let me begin I don’t even live in Bakersfield just passing through and had to fill a script. Took two hours. They got it right when they opened. Then I had a refil I filled in my area and they messed up on some date my local pharmacy said, so they called this Bakersfield location in this case they refused to fix there error and I had to pay for a refil that was covered by my insurance. Terrible patient pharmacy service if this is your local pharmacy I’d go any place else.

There is a woman named Sherri at this store who is the most cheerful, sweet person you will ever meet in this lifetime.

We were in the drive thru yesterday and there was this girl who was very rude to us with a very bad attitude. Just plain bad costumer service. I showed her a discount coupon and she took the information then she said we have to wait for an hour. When I asked her why it would take that long she just turned her back and walked away. A pharmacist came to the drive thru window and he explained to us why it would take some time. He told us to wait for a few minutes and clearly not an hour. We have been loyal customers and to be treated rudely is not acceptable.

This pharmacy takes forever to get a prescription in, it’s absolutely ridiculous. Every single time I’ve needed one it has taken over a week when it used to be so quick
