Got followed around this store the entire time which has never happened to me before but still ended up spending 200$ though, despite having an employee with a bad dye job side eyeing me every time I moved a muscle lol I'll stick with Ulta next time.

This has to be the better Sephora in Bakersfield. Everytime I come to this one I am greeted at the door by the really kind employees, I am helped immediately, and I always feel like I can carry a conversation with the people working there. They don't sound like they absolutely hate their job which is a plus, but I get how working at Sephora can be draining. I think my only complaint is that sometimes the associates push color matching onto you. I went in recently and was helped by a very nice young woman and everything went fine until she asked if I needed a color match. I just laughed and told her no thank you, and we talked a bit more and she decided to basically force me to comply to a color match for a foundation I wasn't even interested in. She kinda took it upon herself to apply product to my forehead without my consent. I'll give her this, the product did match very well but it's like...no thank you lol. Then she asked if I needed a tissue, I said sure, she walked away and never came back lmao. The entire situation was pretty funny looking at it, but it's just because I find anything funny, but this could've happened to the wrong person and started an issue. I figured I'd write this review because 99 percent of the time I have a great experience, and the workers seem very knowledgeable and great to talk to. They're nicer than the ones at Valley Plaza Atleast lol

Just walked out walked by several staff 2 actually standing at the entrance Was not greeted no hello, no, thank you for coming in. No can I help you or anything very disappointing. I really enjoy Sephora but definitely not this location. This is not the first time either i just thought I would give it another shot. I guess I'll go back to my previous location. Sad thing is, I work in the same parking lot.

There's this old lady that's a makeup artist in this location and she acts very entitled to things! I know that old hag works here because she was at tjmaxx mad because I didn't let her crowd and the line was long! Mad because she only had "one item" I also had one item you old hag! Just wait in line like everyone else it's not my fault you can't take your lunch breaks accordingly! Some old people need to stop acting as if the world revolves around them!

Every time I go into Sephora, the ladies are always so sweet. Someone will help you if you have a question or problem. The cashier is always kind and quick. I really like Sephora's makeup, which is not expensive, and it works great!!When you shop and buy, you get points that go towards free items!! And these items are good and yours right then and there!

I POSTED A REVIEW BUT IT WAS THE WRONG LOCATION!I know NOTHING about makeup or anything at all, but Diamond was able to help me find the right products for me to pick out for my mom. She was so kind and patient and hands down one of the best people I’ve encountered in recent years.Hopefully she still works there, I need more help with Christmas shopping lol.

I would definitely recommend family and friends. However, I would tell them to avoid a rude and very disrespectful employee Jailene. I have been shopping at the Skd Sephora since it opened, I stopped going to the one at the Mall due to employees like Jailene. Today was the worst, while walking around and if she happened to run into me she would roll her eyes and avoid me, and never once asked if I needed help. While being helped by multiple employees she would purposely interrupt and send the employees elsewhere so I would no longer be helped. I don’t plan on not shopping at Sephora. However, If this employee continues with this attitude I will make a formal complaint with corporate office and no it wasn’t just me other customers and employees saw it too. Sephora you have some wonderful employees that stand out and help people, but then also have ones like this that make someone not want to go back.

Came in here doing a instacart order and couldn't find anything because I don't know anything about makeup. Crystal kindly assisted me found everything and was super kind went out of her way to help me great customer service.

(Couldn’t catch his name) but HUGE thank you to the associate who took the time to help me find the new Patrick Ta eyeshadow palette today after searching literally everywhere around the city. I can always appreciate when someone takes the extra time to help out. Appreciate you!!

The staff was friendly and polite except for one worker. She followed me around like a jealous ex and when I told her I’m here for makeup, she shown me products for thin hair. And said hers was “short but thick”. Her hair was badly dyed, and damaged to where she had to cut it, badly, herself. If she wants to be rude to people, she needs to look deeply into the mirrors that are at the end of every aisle and know that she is what she speaks about. I refuse to be bullied by associates who hate their jobs.

I had such a wonderful experience thanks to Berlin and Anisa. They were both welcoming, super knowledgeable and patient. I appreciate how they both took the time to listen to what I was looking for and gave me options to choose from.

Unbound IncompetenceSent partner in for adapalene, associate sold him salicylic acid… I appreciate the gesture of “fake it till you make it” ; but these are two totally different things. Im beginning to think, these associates dont know much of anything when it comes to skincare, only how to apply below average makeup.

They have very limited products in stock and the employees are not very friendly or helpful. I will stick with Ulta and will not ever go to another Sephora again. Ive had the same experience with several other sephora stores across California. Customer friendly doesn't seem to be a quality that Sephora looks for when hiring their employees.

I had to go down several aisles trying to find somebody to help me and only to discover all of the sales associates we're up at the front register talking and hanging out. Is that what they're paid to do? This was my first time and my last time in this store location. I will stick to the one in the valley plaza where they actually pay attention to the customer.
