I can't tell what I like more, the ambiance, or the decor. It was both, including the amazing hospitality and food made from the owner. I've driven past this restaurant multiple times, but just never had the chance to step inside. That all changed today when I suddenly made a left turn coming down Stine and ended up in the parking lot of Sam's Halal Market and Restaurant. I walked inside and was immediately greeted and given a rundown of their menu. I could already tell from the bat that this guy knew exactly what he was talking about. after asking about the menu items, I suggested the chicken over rice, and I trusted my instincts and trusted this man to give me his best. And I was given the world. The chicken was charred to perfection and with the soft rice underneath and the salad to accompany the dish, why would I bother going anywhere else? You shouldn't bother going anywhere else but Sam's Halal Market and Restaurant, only a month in business and already laying down vital fundamentals for a successful and thriving business!

This used to be Sam's Halal Market. It is now under NEW OWNERSHIP and it is now called Khan's Halal Market & Restaurant. They have a Zabiha halal butcher shop inside, halal grocery items, halal frozen food, and many Indian goodies and groceries. There is also a restaurant that just opened up. They offer complimentary chai(it was yummy, has a cardamom taste to it). The garlic naan is big and amazingly delicious! The Nihari was okay, it was a bit bland for my taste(I like more Masala & an overall spicier taste, but my friend loved it), the Chana daal was so comforting and flavorful, the chicken kabob had a wonderful mix of flavors. They will soon start selling traditional Pakistani breakfast on Weekends. I am excited to try that and be a customer for years to come. The family is very welcoming, jolly, and kind. They treat you like family and always greet you with a smile. I wish them all the best!

Sam's Halal Market is a great place to get fresh, high-quality halal meat and groceries. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the prices are reasonable. I would definitely recommend Sam's Halal Market Grocery to anyone looking for fresh, high-quality halal meat and groceries. It is a great place to find everything you need to cook delicious Middle Eastern food. I will definitly come back.

I went by Sam’s when I was running errands recently. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable, and they have a wonderful atmosphere. They changed it up a lot since last time I was here, definitely an upgrade. Worth checking out for sure whenever you’re in the area.

One of the best Middle Eastern mark and restaurant all over Bakersfield. All there good is fresh and delicious even their Market has different variety of food, drinks and all products we need.Definitely recommend it ??

i was in the area and wanted to get some kabob, this place showed up and it had an overall 4.2 rating on Google so I tried it out, I got the 2x beef kabobs and the kabob itself was dry, definitely looked like it was in the fridge for months, it wasn’t fresh. It was expensive considering what you get, not worth it. Please stay away from this, very disappointing

This is such an amazing place to visit if you are really looking forward to GREAT food. The employees were very kind and they give you a clear description of what is in the food the make, the duration it’s been in the store for and suggestions on even better options which may be available at later times. I had the Chicken Shawarma which tasted DELICIOUS and was made with LOVE. OUTSTANDING! Definitely recommend.

Stopped by here based on the reviews of it being the best shawarma. Not worth the $30 . The chicken shawarma tasted like 2 day old rotisserie chicken, not middle eastern style chicken. My stomach hurt after eating it. The $5 fries were soggy and undercooked. The meat shawarma was mediocre, not as bad as the chicken. But still had pieces that were tough to eat. The store itself does not have anywhere to sit so the dine-in options means you’ll most likely be dining in the car.Wish my experience was better.

First time being here and Marlina and Sam both were very helpful, I came in close to closing and had a couple questions. They took the time to explain and recommended theirs personal favorite items; furthermore help me get to know their business and what they offer! Very great experience highly recommended!

Tried this spot tonight for the first time. Marlena and Sam were very welcoming. I ordered the Beef Shawarma plate with a side of fries and got big portions, which is always a plus! Check them out
