Omg... they literally built these gas pumps far too close to one another. So, while they can technically fit 8 cars (if the people of this area were considerate enough to think about their neighbors), only 2-3 can pump gas and that's if...IF no one is using one of the pumps as a parking spot. I saw this today. Two cars not pumping gas. More cars waiting to pump gas... I had to leave for the shell a mile down the street.

No bathrooms and the pump got stuck on us and wouldn't start. We had to back up to use the one behind instead. I would give this place zero stars if I could.

The cashiers are always very friendly, albeit sometimes distracted with their phones. This particular location is much smaller than other gas stations and their pumps often times get crowded.

I purchased gas here and the user interface on the gas pump asked me if I wanted a car wash. I purchased "The Works" and drove up to the car wash. The code entry panel was locked, so I couldn't enter the code. I went into the store, waited in line for several minutes, and informed them that the kiosk was locked. An employee unlocked the kiosk and gave me a thumbs up. May as well have been a middle finger. The car wash was out of service. He knew it. The cashier knew it. They decided to play some sort of practical joke. Ha ha... Well, here's your chitty review. Is it funny now? Huh? Q: WHY DO THEY OFFER A CAR WASH WHEN IT'S OUT OF SERVICE?!?! A: BECAUSE THEY'RE NUMBSKULLS Really, it's because they couldn't find a 90 year old COBOL programmer to implement some better business rules. Seriously, this is some prehistoric chit they are using. Time to step into the 21st century... At best, the cashier was polite. Unfortunately, this gas station is a real chit show. I ended up going to the Mobile on New Stine and Stockdale. They have a superior brushless car wash and it actually works. It is much farther from home, but worth the effort.

Not a variety of choices for water. All cheap brands! Wanted to buy Reeses candy...all the packages were hard as a rock. Oh and I was charged .50 cents for paying with my debit card. NO sign about that....I had to ask why my total was $5 for a bottle of wAter and a chocolate bar. Never coming here AGAIN!

Its only getting a star because i have to. I don't understand what happened to this store. I get it, its a corner store in the city. I still always enjoyed the walk from my apartment to pick up a snack, or something else. The people who worked there, they were nice. I was excited to see the changes made. Then disappointed at the way I have been treated recently. I'm not sure if they changed ownership, but I have been treated rudely but the older cashier. My husband, and I used to cash our checks there. I never had any issues. He just has had attitude like i was bothering him. I will no longer ever set foot in there again. I will walk the extra blocks, and go to vests on Chester. I've gone there so much that the owners and staff know me. I have a much easier time to let my money go, when I'm treated properly.

A-1 sells gasoline at very competitive prices. You can pay with a credit card at the pump or by cash by bringing it inside. My mom sweetly offered to put some gas in my tank on our way home from lunch and we stopped here to try to get some more bang for her buck. I went inside to give the attendant cash for our gas and was surprised to see what a great selection of hard alcohol they had. It advertises itself as a liquor store so I knew there'd be a lot of booze for sale :) but I was surprised at how many specialty alcohol they carried: various flavored vodkas and liqueurs they carried. I went back inside after my tank was full to buy a bottle of water to wash down my allergy meds. They carry all the major brands of energy drinks and sodas, though I was a bit confused at first because the Pepsi products are in a different cooler than the rest of the beverages. I couldn't find any prices on the bottles of water, but the one I purchased wasn't very expensive and I left quite happy.

This place has a lot of items, but a lot of expired products. Also, only use cash here unless you want your card information stolen. It's happened to me TWICE! Once on the pumps and once inside. Pretty sketchy.
