Smart and Final on White lane and Wible Bakersfield, Ca. Is just alright. But, has the worst security team ive ever seen in my life.. And that’s putting it lightly.. Ive been in this store twice in my life and I will never return.. And that’s a promise. The first time I went in that store, my girlfriend and I walked the isles and shopped. We both noticed that the security guard was following us and walking by isles that we were shopping in. He never said anything but I still feel ,as well as my girlfriend, like this was definitely harassment. 100%
We left the store and went on our way, nothing was said until now.
The second time I went in this store, I was alone, and it was around 8:30 pm. As I entered the store that same security guard ( Tall Well Built Hispanic Male )is staring at me. I asked him, “ Is there a place to leave my bag? “ He said, “ Right there by the door.” I asked him, “ Are you going to be here to watch it? “ He said, “ Yes “. I left my bag and went on about my shopping. He did the same thing that he did the first time but not quite as much this time. I thought he was going to be up at the front watching my bag, but I guess not, anyone can just leave with it. I get done, and I’m in line at the check out counter. When it’s my turn, the lady starts ringing up my things. The security guard was back up at the front door by now. He walks up to me at the register all bowed up, and mind you, I have a line behind me as well. He says, “ Are you going to empty your pockets, or you want this to get physical?” I said, “ excuse me, what did you just say? “ He repeated it again. And I said, “ We can get physical then. You know what, if you want to see what’s in my pockets you can call the police.” He then, pulled out a pair of handcuffs and said, “ I have the right to arrest you.” I told him, “ those handcuffs ain’t going on me dude, straight up youngster. “ after we exchanged a few more words with one another I decided to pull my stuff out of my pockets and put them on the counter until my pockets were inside out. The reason being, is for one the fact that there is about 5 customers behind me that’s already been waiting for awhile now. Two, I’m getting madder and madder as the seconds go by. I asked him, “ are we good?” He lunged down and grabbed my legs , and patted me all the way up, red faced mad. He said, “ well, baggy pants. “ Red Faced mad that’s all he said snd walked back to the front of the store. I feel completely disrespected the way this man accused me this way in front of all these people. That is not my character to steal from anything, and I gave him no reason at all to think that I had stolen anything. He had absolutely no reason to take it to that level at all. Even if you just suspect someone, then you watch them more, go through the cameras or what ever your company policy is as long as the policies don't break the law. But, I believe you have to down right see someone put something in their pockets to take it there. That’s defamation of character and completely out of line and against the law as far as I’m concerned. I will not be returning to this store. Thanks

I was at check stand 2 @ 5 tonight…. Where myself and 8 other patrons waited as she let the woman and husband at the register held the line… we couldn’t see what was going on…. Then I see the woman being escorted around the store to continue shopping while we waited. How do you sign up for the red carpet treatment smart n finale? I would love to be treated that way…. Thank you to the cashier that allowed this at 5pm on a Monday. Diana at White Ln and Wible rd.

Most of the employees were very friendly and helpful. Many products that brought me to S&F are no longer offered and the prices have gone nuts. Also do not like having to deal with people hitting me up for money before I even get in the store.

It's a medium sized store but it's right off the freeway so it's easy two get to. It's never over crowded and it's well-stocked
