Customer service needs improvement. I asked two representatives about a product they claimed wasn't carried in store and I was able to locate it in store. Not helpful or willing to help. Do not recommend this location

Stopped by since I was looking for a cologne and perfume for the wife. I think the guys name was Nate, he assisted me on everything I needed and told me about a new skin care routine. This man has changed my skin care routine. I appreciate! I don’t remember the makeup artist but she was really helpful and sweet to my wife. She did her makeup and told her about new products to use. Those two made our day and hope they get all praise they deserve. Thank you again! Would definitely be back when I’m in town.

I frequent this location often, but don't know if I will in the future. Today's experience is, unfortunately, not unique.I visited with my daughter today to pick up a few items. When I walked in, I saw a large in-store display advertising a free 9-piece gift with an Ulta purchase of $19.50. I moved on to get the items I came for, but while waiting in line, noticed signage all along the closest wall, advertising the free gift. I'd picked up one Ulta item for $14.99, and figured I might as well grab one more item and take advantage of the free gift. We paid for our items, and the cashier sent us on our way. I mentioned I thought I had qualified for the free gift. She was apparently unaware there was any promotion available (how she missed all the signs at her own place of employment, I have no idea!), because she turned to another cashier and asked, "Do we have a free Ulta gift right now?"The other cashier simply stated, "We're all out." And then, without an apology, an offer of a substitution, or another solution, they looked at me as I walked away. I'm writing this review because this is a common occurrence. They were out of birthday gifts last month, too. It seems like it's easy enough to TAKE DOWN THE SIGNS if you've run out of a promotional item and don't plan on offering a substitute to your customers. After reading the majority of the reviews on this location, I think it may be likely I find another place to buy my beauty items, until Ulta starts to show they value their customers. - An Annual Diamond Member

Today is August 1st. It has been 2 days since my review of Ulta on Rosedale Hwy. in Bakersfield. Again reiterating my earlier review, I WAS to be contacted by a customer service representative from Ulta As of 2:00 pm PDT, I STILL HAVE NOT BEEN CONTACTED NOR DO I BELIEVE I WILL BE!!!!Ulta in my opinion DOES NOT CARE about it's customers or they would have contacted me. Find a different company to purchase beauty products/supplies from!!!Although ULTA responded to this post, I was also TOLD, by your own Customer Service Representative, that I would be contacted. We'll, today is August 5th and STILL NOT ONE SINGLE PERSON HAS CONTACTED MR!!!!!Also in your response you stated "my concerns" would be sent to the manager. However you still FAIL TO STATE what will and is going to be done about your lack of customer service. To me this is just typical rhetoric from a company that does not have their customers in mind, but they only care about their bottom line and that is "PROFIT".ULTA also just passed the problem to someone else (swept it under the rug). We'll FYI, I DO NOT GO AWAY!!!!! This was uncalled for!!!!!In my opinion, there are plenty of other companies out there to do business with. DO NOT do business with ULTA!!!!!!

I came to Ulta to look for a foundation. I am unfamiliar with brands or what would be a good fit for my skin tone because I don't wear any. I was recommended to go to Ulta because I was told, they assist you with things like that. Unfortunately that's not what I experienced. I walked in, wondered around for like 10 minutes looking at all the brands, saw several consultants which I tried to approach but none bothered to even give notice that I was there. So I went to the front and asked if someone could please help me find a good foundation to match. She looked a bit annoyed, didn't even respond to me, she just looked at one of the ladies and said "Go Help Her". She took me to a brand, looked at my face, then said follow me. Gave me a little sponge and a bit of the sample and said here is the mirror, try it and see how it looks and walked away. So much for the help. I could have done that. I was disappointed at the Service.

I understand that your employees are trained for loss prevention, but was treated rudely by an employee (not even security) all because i picked up an order and decided to go get a perfume i’d been considering buying. Simply walked over to perfumes, while holding my pickup order bag decided to put it in my own bag instead of carrying two bags. I guess she saw me do this and assumed i was stealing and YELLED across the store from the service area ‘DO YOU NEED A BAG FOR THAT?’ i just looked at her, confused as to what she meant and she just repeated herself and said she saw me put something in my bag. I pulled out my pickup order which was still in the orange bag to show her and told her no, it was just my pickup order. She clearly still thought i was trying to pull a fast one and said ‘I could have swore i saw you with something.’ I said no, but if i could get help opening the perfumes so i can buy one i would appreciate it. She says ok, i’ll go tell the ladies up front you need to get in there. I watch her go check to see if i did pick up an order (lol) and not tell a lady we needed help. After standing there for a good 5 mins then an employee from the front asks us if we need help. I explain yes, i just needed to get a perfume and she says oh ok let me go get the keys (meaning the employee did not tell her i needed to get in the perfumes, just discussed weather or not i was stealing lol) I can handle being watched at this ulta more than others because i don’t steal, but this situation could have been handled much better. Was treated like a thief even after proving i wasn’t. Acting as if i even were stealing it would come out of her paycheck. I already have anxiety and didn’t appreciate being yelled at in the store. Gonna drive to the other ultas from now on.

Love Ulta and products but this Ulta customer service is lacking compared to other stores. I wouldn't come to this Ulta if I had an option. The girls are lacking some common sense, and have no priority for the customer. Their conversations with ea other come first before any service or attention to a customer

Horrible experience recently. Staff at the register are rude and rush you, even though there's no one behind you. Hair stylist Carolina cut my hair the way she wanted and not how I wanted. She completely ignored my request, and now I have to let my hair grow. Overpriced, and unprofessional.

Every time I come to this location, I get profiled, watched and followed by security, even wearing the smallest ZIPPED purse and clothes with no pockets. It doesn't matter. If you like looking at everything in the store and looking at every corner they take suspicion and it's super uncomfortable and anxiety inducing. I gave it a few chances and it was always the same, no matter which security guard and they always act oblivious if you confront them.

Very clean location. Lots of helpful employees. It was very easy to find what I came in for (and a bunch of stuff I wasn't looking for lol). I will definitely be back.

Went to pick up a curbside the wait was a lil long but the girl was nice and apologized once she gave me my order she checked it was the right colors of lipstick then she walked away after I looked I realized one of them had been opened no big deal so I got out to get a new one that hasn’t been opened a different girl at the desk told me I had to wait 24 hours to get a replacement because pick up’s take that long to get in the system I told her I just want the exact thing same color but not opened she was so rude I was so embarrassed everyone at the registers was looking at me as she told me I could buy a new one so I could have one and return the other one tomorrow. Then another employee told her to go ahead and do it I couldn’t believe how difficult she made this experience!!
