“I had my Queensland neutered and my pug spayed here over the past couple of years. The check in process is a little chaotic but the prices make up for it. It took me about 45 minutes to an hour to check in both times, so be sure to arrive early and do your paperwork online to save time! Pick up is a little more smooth because there aren't a hundred dogs standing around at the same time barking at each other! One thing you should be aware of is that flat faced dogs cost more, but they didn't tell me that at any point during the scheduling and check in process. I only learned about this fee after I paid the original fee and they took my Queenie to the back room. I had to pay the additional $20 at pick up. The staff is so friendly and helpful and seem to really love animals! I wouldn't hesitate about leaving my dogs here because everyone is really alert and attentive. I would recommend coming here to spay/neuter your pets and to get vaccines and boosters!”

“All Vets and personnel treat Fred like he is one of their own pets. They are very gentle and thorough during their exams. Been going here for over 12 years. Never had the need to change Vets. Highly recommend this office”

“My daughters took one of our cats over to have vaccinations and a therapy grooming done. They said the lobby is very neat and clean, and the receptionist are attentive. The only things they could improve on were creating an exact list and price estimate of services available on their website, as well as some sort of area stating that cash and credit/debit card are both accepted.Otherwise, everything was great: the services were excellent, and our cat was much better.”

“Everyone was nice and lovely. Prescription that was assigned worked on the first time. $50 for consult and $20 for eye drops. I was able to get in a week as a new patient, much better than during the pandemic when Vet's weren't taking new patients or if they were, it was months out for an appointment. Thank you for your help, San Joaquin Veterinary Hospital. We'll be back.”

“I love Dr. Paulson and his staff. He's been taking care of our babies for over 20 years. I think our dogs have enjoyed nice long lives due to Doc Paulson's exceptional care. He really cares about the animals he takes care of. You can always tell when someone loves what they're doing. I believe that describes Dr. Paulson and his staff. Always professional.”

“First visit here and I have to write this review. The staff is amazing and kind and patient. The wait time wasn't too bad maybe a 15 minute wait. The doctor was so kind and caring. She took her time to check my cat and carefully analyzed what the problem was. My cat was so comfortable and felt so spoilt. He didn't fuss at all. She helped walk me through how to administer his medication and gave him his first dose. I definitely recommend this clinic to any all cat owners. The doctor shows she truly loves cats as much as I do. Most vets are in it for the money but this vet treats them like her own and I will definitely be scheduling all future visits here. Thank you so much !”

“I recently took my 2 babies to this location for check-up and dental examinations and the entire vibe and knowledgeable staff was AMAZING! The waiting room was a little busy, but considering the time of day and the fact they're a functioning animal hospital the staff were very patient and friendly. The veterinarian was EXTREMELY friendly and I really appreciated it that when I'd ask questions she would give me a compassionate but direct answer. I don't know how long they will be accepting NEW clients, but I HIGHLY RECOMMEND that if you're looking for a vet to please give this office the chance. I can't express how much they had me at ease with ALL of the staff's compassion and professionalism.”

“Stiern vet is the best. I have taken both of my kitties here for spay and neuter. Each time was a very professional and compassionate visit. They take good care of your fur-babies here. Just call, set up an appointment, and drop them off on your appointment date between 7:30-8am and when they are done, they'll call or text and than go and pick them up! Procedure is not that long at all, 2-3 hours and both my kitties bounced right back to their normal selves soon after we picked them up. I get good vibes from this place, the staff is super friendly and they just make you feel comfortable here. They'll have you pay upfront a deposit for the service, than after the treatment is done and you go to pick up your baby, they'll have you pay the rest. Not as cheap as critters without litters, but you don't have to wait in that long line in the cold that critters without litters makes you do wait in. LOL. It's like a difference between the county hospital and a private doctor. Worth the little extra money! thank stiern for your services! and taking good care of my fur-babies!”

“I really miss them having weekend hours and a kennel to board our dog at...but you won't find a better, more honest veterinarian than Dr Lohr. I hope he never retires!”

“Amazing experience so far. Keep in mind, there is only one person working the front handling visitors and phones. Most of the time they don't answer, but are pretty prompt on texting back. The vet and assistants are caring and honest. We are looking forward to bringing our other pets here in the future.”

“These people are fantastic! I called around places asking if they were accepting new clients but unfortunately they said no until i called VCA at the oaks. They got me an appointment asap and reassured me everything will be okay with my cat’s paw. Reception and techs were so kind and explained why my bill was this way rather than other facilities not giving me an explanation then making me pay without knowing anything. I 100% recommend this place and can’t wait to do more business with them.”

“A pack of stray PitBulls (4) Broke into my yard at 2:30am. They killed my Loyal German Shepard and my Miniature Donkey They mauled my miniature cow named Tuesday. I called every single Large animal Vet in Kern County begging for help to save my cows ears and left eye. (I know.... It's so horrible) she was bit everywhere and I was DEVASTATED. I couldn't find a single Vet willing to come out even after hours they all said sorry but NO!...... I was So Desperate and afraid I gave this Vet another call and spoke with the staff girls. I will be FOREVER GRATEFUL to these women for getting a DVM to at least prescribe antibiotics. They even stayed late (45 minutes) So I could make it there to pick up the Medication.. This Vet doesn't usually work on Cows but they made an exception for us. ThankYou for helping me. Sincerely Stacie G.”

“The staff is friendly, helpful, and respectful. Dr.Payne (I believe that's her name) is great. She was helpful and answered all the questions I had. She was able to explain in detail the procedures they would be preforming. She was very empathetic and professional. The clinic also offers ScratchPay, a lending payment plan option which is great if needed.”

“Dr. Reno is an amazing veterinarian. He is so kind and personable. He gave us a dog left in front of his office which turned out to be the best dog I ever had. Roco has since passed, but we will never forget Dr. Reno giving him to us. I take all of my dogs to Dr. Reno's office because he is so great and the staff is so pleasant. I highly recommend this business.”
