“The shower water was hot (rainfall shower), the bed was comfortable, and the room had a microwave and mini fridge. Clean, simple rooms. I only stayed one night because it's pretty overpriced. Had the price been better, I would've stayed longer.”

“Hands down this is great place to stay. The rooms are clean and the remodeling came out great. Best of all the people that run it makes a huge difference. My guy T.J went out of his way for a stranger ( me) . As a customer that small gestures means a lot. Definitely recommend this place. See you soon.”

“Booked through a third party app per the LA Marathon website in order to get a wristband for the AM shuttle to the marathon start line. Upon arrival, the concierge knew nothing about any wristbands and offered no help/advice/solution. Of course, none of the volunteers at the marathon expo knew anything either. Asked again later in the day after seeing a different person at the hotel front desk. Thankfully, she knew exactly what I was talking about. She didn't verify if I had booked through the third party website, and just gave the needed wristbands. Would much have preferred to book directly through them if I knew they would hand out wristbands like they did.

Regarding the hotel, it was conveniently located near places in walking distance to eat. It was a longer walk to a coffee shop and Little Tokyo that we visited, but still do-able. Used their shuttle service, and the drivers and valet were helpful and respectful. Shuttle wasn't running on the weekend though. The extra fees the hotel charged amounted to nearly $125 for our three nights. Glad I didn't have a car and have to pay the valet fees. The rooms do not stay cold enough at night. The coffee at their little coffee shop was disgusting. Glad we had just used our complimentary drink ticket on it instead of paying extra. Beds were comfy, and they had a flat pillow among the lot that I found comfortable. I could see myself staying here again, but it wouldn't be my first or second choice.”

“Arrived incredibly late due to a flight delay, around 4am, and there was someone waiting for me to take me to my room. The entire staff is incredibly nice and helpful. The vibe in general is bb very relaxing and chill. Room was incredibly comfortable and they even have Roku tvs so you're not stuck watching bs cable television. 10/10 and will be staying here again when I return next month”

“Rooms: Everything very good, clean and good equipment. We only had a problem with the shower, which the frontdesk people sent to change immediately: unfortunately the maintenance people left our room smelling of cigarette smoke.
From there everything is fine!”

“UPDATE Jan 2/26: Hotel management resolved this issue promptly. I really appreciated how the Hoxton dealt with the matter, and felt it was important to update this review. Jan 1/26: Bought tickets for the Hoxton’d NYE party (through Eventbrite) and it was the biggest rip off! That place was dead. The lobby area they designated for the NYE party was a small area to the left of the entrance. The second floor room was like a small living room with CSI lighting. The roof had a tiny pool with tables on either side of wall partitions… nothing was happening. Several groups of people who’d bought tickets came in and left immediately. Legitimately horrible. $50 per person for that. Didn’t even get that midnight champagne drink that came with the ticket. They also said they would air drop a free night stay at the hotel for one of the guests who bought tickets… I don’t think that ever happened. Hoxton DTLA… refund me and get it together.”

“What an amazing honeymoon we had! We stayed the last five days of our honeymoon at the Los Angeles Ritz-Carlton in a junior suite. The room was beautiful and comfortable, and the staff provided exceptional service. The executive lounge is a really nice addition to the suites, and the staff there were exceptional as well. As loyal Marriott elite members, we were impressed with all your amenities. All your staff made a point to learn our names. The hotel was decorated beautifully and is in a great location in the center of LA Live with many restaurants, shops, and entertainment areas. Thank you for the luxurious stay!”

“This has been a very challenging time in my life so I’ve been staying in local hotels. During one of the most painful days I’ve endured I had the pleasure of speaking with a young lady named Yuliza who answered the phone at this lovely hotel. Talking to her was honestly the highlight of my day. Her kindness compassion and desire to be of as much help as possible ensured whenever I’m in need of a hotel stay I will seek out this brand no matter what city I’m in because their staff treat people like they would want you to take care of their family & friends not just paying customers. The staff ensures you will be so taken care of staying here. If there are some improvement needed I would say maybe consider changing to another TV cable company, the TV Service was out far more than it was on, out of 42 channels, half didn’t work most of the time and it was hotel wide, not just a few rooms. Would have been nice to have a microwave to heat up left overs or make popcorn & not have to come down to the lobby, but outside of these inconveniences, & primarily due to the friendly staff and aesthetics of the hotel, it’s an establishment that I would recommend and revisit on any given occasion.”

“Moody mid century decor everywhere, great taste, nice rooftop and views. Their staff treated me handsomely.

INCREDIBLE water pressure (I know it’s weird but such a great shower!).

I thought it was going to be a budget hotel but came out of here extremely happy.”

“Pretty much what you'd expect. The employees were inviting and friendly. The spaces were fairly clean. The room was small but fitting. Clean but stained. There was an area in front of the hotel that smelled like something died. Restaurants attached and in the surrounding area. Liquor store/mini marts super close. Good experience overall.”

“Had a terrific stay at the proper. The room was small but comfortable and clean, I especially enjoyed the nice toiletries they provided. The staff was friendly and accommodating. A gentleman at the bar made a ginger drink on the spot when we didn't see ginger ale on the menu. The restaurant on the ground floor was delicious although all I tried was breakfast. Decent location if you're going to be on the west side of downtown and near LA Live. Overall very positive experience!”

“That was the most thoughtful surprise; I had a meeting back to back in DTLA for two days, which needed to be on time and prepare for it. My man, based on my meeting location, picked this hotel for me to stay in to make sure I won't be dealing with traffic going back and forth and being stressed out or late. It was such a great location and had everything that I needed: perfect internet service, room service, and also a mini fridge. Late bar, which, of course, I didn't get to use. They had a coffee shop, too, and I had a delicious breakfast, which was coming with my suite.”

“Overall, the hotel matched the reviews – a good place to stay.

Convenient location for shopping, especially at night. There are still food options available even around midnight.

The parking was very convenient and felt safe.

It’s a bit of a pity there was no safe in the room – would be great to have one in the future.”

“Stayed her for 4 nights and it was great. The staff cares about your stay and your furry friends. Only thing that could be better is if check in could be earlier or if they offered the option.”

“This is a good location and for the price. A mile walk to Hollywood Blvd. The rooms are nice, standard hotel. The rooms have mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker and small safe. The bathroom had plenty of towels and supplied shampoo, conditioner, bodywash and lotion. The water pressure was the best. The front desk staff were very polite and helpful. They have a free breakfast included. It was pretty basic but it was something. Waffle maker, oatmeal, fruits, eggs, bacon and potatoes. They have an area for snacks, water to purchase. They also have a coffee station as you walk in. They do have on site parking, sign said $45 a day. Within a blocks distance were fast food and convince store.”

“Honestly for the price, exceeded my expectations. New sheets and towels every day, can’t complain about that. Tons of lightning, charging ports, outlets, and a tv with lots of channel options. No HDMI? The bathroom was super clean and had lots of space to get ready in. The check in/ check out process was super fast and easy. Only downside is the room floor not as clean as other areas of the room”

“Loved this place! Picked it out based of other reviews and it stood true to what I read. Little bit of a dated place as far as interior, but rooms were great. Very friendly staff, clean rooms and just a 10 minute drive to Crypto which was very nice. Thunderbolt next door was also a great little cocktail bar! Will definitely be booking again for the next LA adventure! Such a little gem of a place to stay!”

“Got norms, a burger joint, pizza and seafood. Got 711 around corner. Chevron and shell. THIS PLACE IS THE BEST I COME ALL THE TIME. JAY is so courteous and always does everything to make sure I'm happy with room and services. He's very welcoming and makes sure this place stays clean and calming. No druggies hanging out in parking lot or parties going on in rooms. It's such a great place for great price. Thanks you Epic and Jay.”

“The Kimpton Everly is our home away from home. It’s the best place to unwind with your pup in the Hollywood area. The people are super welcoming and friendly here and both Jane Q and Written Hand restaurants are awesome. Clean, comfortable sleep, stylish and functional, good vibes/warm staff, well located, nice atmosphere, consistently good, good value, and respect for guests. So many good folks here and they always take great care of us, and to us, they’re family!

We have been staying since 2018 and will continue to. Be sure to check out social hour (free wine and small bites from 5-6 pm). As always, Kimptons are very dog friendly (they stay free, they’re family too).”
