“imperial Jewelry & Loan is the most honest and legitimate pawn shop I have ever worked with. very professional customer service, honest and fair. they test gold with a modern tester that does not need for all that scraping and solution on a plate. great way to pawn your items with out having to worry of getting them damaged when checked for purity. what won me over about this establishment is the fact that they text you well in advance to remind you of your pending ticket so that you will not lose access to your pawned belongings. if your goal is to simply visit to shop their inventory they have a great selection of designer woman's handbags, curated sought after electronics, great power tools, watches, sunglasses, and just all around good finds at good prices. “I just left this pawnshop and I had the most incredible experience. The jewelry selection is great with prices as love as $49.99 for solid gold. I ended up purchasing a 14k 3 heart ring with 3 diamond centers for under $200. Peter was so sweet and even cleaned some of the jewelry I was wearing at no additional cost. “I have been to numerous pawn shops in the area and I stumbled upon Golden State Pawn and Guitar after I had the WORST and I mean WORST experience At Beach Loan Services Pawn shop. I was treated so badly even got cursed at by their employees and to make matters worse when they gave me my change they shorted me $40 bucks I was so upset and wanted to get out of there I didn’t count the change till I got in my car and after that experience of being cursed and talked down too and finding out they cracked my Apple Watch too I just left and didn’t go back inside to get the rest of my change !!!!!!!! After this unprofessionalism of a nightmare experience i took my business else where and never looked back !!
THATS WHEN I FOUND Golden State Pawn and Guitars and I am forever grateful because of the culture the owner brings to his business he genuinely cares about his customers and that’s rare especially when it comes to pawn shops! I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone because after my horrible experiences with the pawn shops in the area I almost gave up on finding a good place, a place where they actually care for their customers and their items. Bobby the owner of Golden State is one of the nicest caring and most understanding people I have ever met. Because of this I still have my MacBook not only was he understanding he gave me a few days past my loan due date just until I got my paycheck to pick up my laptop any other place wouldn’t have ever cared to do this and would have sold it - and I know this because I’ve been threatened by previous pawn shops despite me having a good background and history of paying my loans on time and to be treated so badly and not even that I’ve had my items broken damaged and cracked from previous places (cracked Apple Watch, and a MacBook that was dropped and wouldn’t turn on) so finding Bobby and his pawn shop was a blessing. Not only do I deal with the owner directly the owner is understanding and kind and you can rest assure what ever he holds onto is stored away safely !!!

“I came here after I had gotten two terrible quotes at different places nearby. I didn't want to sell at that point, I was demoralized, but I had to take my girl to work and I had no gas money. I gave up and decided to take anything at the next closest place, that's when I arrived here. I entered and was instantly nicely greeted and asked a couple of questions like why I wanted to sell which no other place had even bothered to ask, I explained my situation to him and he truly tried to understand, he had already given me a quote but right before I left the shop he gave me extra money and a two dollar bill for good luck I couldn't help leave his shop crying he had doubled the last quote I had received, he saved my Christmas Eve I called my mom crying there is still good people out there. I would recommend this place over any shop in the LBC! I'm telling you this is the place.”

When I needed the money, they put me on a payment plan that was very easy and simple and I do not recommend anywhere else because I did the footwork and many ones out there are terrible.
And most of all stay away from the pawnshop next-door the old guy has a horrible attitude, and he will make you feel stereotyped and judged.”
