Annapurna is a super cool and perfect little shop on Telegraph Avenue in Berkeley, a little treasure that seems to have been there forever. It is an authentic head shop and one of the only original places left, etched into the history of hippies, college kids, deadheads, beatniks, and street vendors. For many, it is part of their history and a landmark representing the spirit, counterculture, and social movements of Berkeley. The store is a wonderful little place with something for everyone, offering a great selection, good deals, fair prices, and cool posters made by local artists. The owner is a gentleman, pioneer, and pleasant, welcoming, and fun to talk to. He is super nice, interesting, knowledgeable, and makes good conversation. The staff and employees over the years have always been very friendly, excellent, and amazing individuals. Customers describe it as the best specialty shop, a must-see and must-go-to place when visiting Telegraph. It provides an anchor point in the community, a place of belonging, significant experiences, and sacred memories. For generations, it has been a constant through change, a nostalgic and classic store that remains a treasure.
Super cool place to visit, the guy who works there is super nice and makes good conversation. Good deals, and they have cool posters made by local artists as well!

So happy to see this authentic head shop made it through the pandemic. What a treasure! It was so nostalgic to walk in and see and smell this classic Telegraph store! It's a must see when in Berkeley!
