Graduate by Hilton Berkeley is a hotel with a unique, cool decor and a great, convenient location near the university and the Greek Theatre. Many guests praise the excellent, friendly, and helpful service from the front desk staff, noting it feels cozy and warm. The rooms are comfortable with nice surprises like snacks, and the gym is enjoyed by visitors. There is plenty of parking available. However, the hotel is frequently described as old, dated, and somewhat run-down, with tiny rooms and a building that sometimes has an unpleasant smell. A significant and repeated issue is excessive noise. The walls are very thin, allowing voices and rowdy behavior from other rooms to be heard clearly. Doors slam loudly and reverberate throughout the building, and there are unexplained nighttime noises like clicks, dings, and alarms from the hallways and street, all of which severely disrupt sleep. Some guests also reported cleanliness concerns, such as finding hairs in the shower. While many appreciate the unique vibe and excellent service, the noise and dated condition are major drawbacks for others.
Old hotel and dated, really limited tight parking, the room walls are very thin, we couldn’t hear normal voices next door, and rowdy boys on the other wall, so loud we had to call down to ask them to be quiet after 11pm.

Really cool historic hotel. Rooms are small but comfortable. They had bikes to use so that was nice.

We’ve had five stays in this hotel chain, and we love it. The decor is cool, and the bong lamps are a nice touch. The location is great, and there’s plenty of parking.
