Came in for a kitchen knife, they were super helpful and showed me everything in my price range and explained pros/cons of each one. Definitely great customer service and will 100% be coming back

Small place with lots of precision Japanese tools for gardening, wood carving, etc. Friendly helpful owner/staff.
Hida Tool Co. was started in response to requests from San Francisco Bay Area woodworkers to get tools like those being used by Makoto Imai, who had come from Japan in 1978 after his 5-year apprenticeship in carpentry plus 9 years as a teahouse and temple builder.
