Just wanted to give a quick shoutout to Evan for helping us with hiking backpacks today! They spent an hour+ answering our questions and teaching us how to adjust them to fit us. So much knowledge and patience.
Also Lena in shoes for their knowledge in hiking shoes and helping us find the right fit.
They both helped us when it was super busy too during weekend Labor Day sales. Appreciate them so much.
My husband and I usually hesitate to ask and end up with items that aren’t suitable for us. But today, these two helped put us at ease and helped us choose items confidently.
This will def be our go-to REI!

*Update* - just noticed they left tubeless tape trapped between the rim and the tire - when inflated! Insane, next level incompetence. Downgrading to 1 star.
I've had the same issue with two different REIs now: they don't center the logos over the valves when installing bike tires. It's a small thing but it's just not professional. If they're sloppy with that, they'll be sloppy with more important things too. I won't be coming back

Ive been in 2 REIs. The first one I had lots of employees talking to me.
This location. Not a single employee asked if I needed help. I kept seeing them ask the customers who are skinny and in shape.
I had some serious questions about backpacking and wanted to get fitted for a backpack. I had to listen in and ask questions when an employee walked past me to help the smaller person.
I'll either figure it out myself. Or go to a different rei.

Well stocked store for your outdoor activities. Pricy but excellent quality.
Found a Fjällräven cap from Örnsjöldsvik.
All we are missing now is some surströmming! (But that will probably empty the store)

Rented gear for hiking trip. Smooth experience overall. Rental/return line was long, and extra staff might be helpful. All the staff were nice to interact with.

This review is being left because of an employee who is incredibly outstanding. I was in need of a new pair of julbo sunglasses because the ones I wear are no longer made (Sherpa). So this involved me trying on multiple pairs of sunglasses. Carley was so helpful and friendly and not bothered by this at all. She even went into the back to get glasses that were not available on the floor to show me….TWICE! Smiling, friendly, and very helpful, she epitomizes what good customer service should be! She also wrote the sku numbers down of my two favorite and gave me an overview of the REI membership program. Caley deserves some serious praise for the professionalism she brings. Thank you again!

Didn't have what I wanted in stock but the lady who helped me went in back and found something that hadn't been put on the shelf yet that was good enough to get the job done.

Currently in line for an online pickup. Item was in store, just thought it would be easier to order it then fetch it. NOPE. They send you to customer service in the back where you are in same line as people returning. 6 folks in line one register. While no one is purchasing anything with the 3 active yet empty registers in the front. Please move your employees to where the customers need support. The humans here are KIND, but peeps need to pay attention.

Great selection of merchandise. Organization is a bit helter shelter. It was mobbed,due to a sale, and short staffed. I discovered that they are a no bag store, so bring your own.

Folks there are generally very helpful! Asked a few questions while there and employees were quick to answer. No complaints although the selection on a few things are less than other REI's.
