About Glacier Lodge
Glacier Lodge offers a peaceful and beautiful outdoor experience in the Sierra region, with a variety of accommodations including rustic cabins and a small campground. The grounds are well-maintained, featuring lawns, ponds, and access to nearby trails along Big Pine Creek, making it easy to hike, fish, and explore nature. The cabins, some nearly 100 years old, are cozy and comfortable, equipped with hot showers, beds, kitchens, and basic amenities that provide a simple, authentic stay. Visitors appreciate the quiet, safe environment, and the scenic views of pines and aspens, especially from the fish pond and around the property. The lodge is ideal for families, with plenty of space for kids and dogs to enjoy the outdoors, and the walkable, flat terrain makes exploring easy for everyone. The staff is friendly and helpful, often going out of their way to ensure guests have a good experience, with some reviews highlighting memorable moments such as barbecues, hikes, and relaxing evenings around fire pits. The nearby general store offers food options, and there are seasonal activities like Saturday BBQs that guests enjoy. Though the lodge is not a luxury resort, it provides a charming, experience-focused stay that creates lasting memories. Visitors leave appreciating the natural beauty, peaceful atmosphere, and the chance to unwind in a simple, rustic setting. Many plan to return, drawn by the welcoming environment and scenic surroundings.
