Big Sur Lodge is a lovely and quiet place, perfect for a getaway and an excellent choice for nature lovers and hiking enthusiasts. Its remote location within Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park offers direct access to great hiking, stunning redwoods, rivers, and the coastline. The environment is peaceful and beautiful, providing a relaxing retreat. The accommodations are cozy, rustic, simple, and very comfortable. Rooms are quiet, clean, and spacious, with plenty of space to spread out. Some are cabins with areas for eating or games, and some have fireplaces. The atmosphere is charming. However, the rooms can be pricey and lack modern luxuries like TV, cable, air conditioning, wifi, or cell signal. A heater in one room was quite noisy. The onsite restaurant, Homestead, serves delicious food. Service there can be friendly and attentive. However, the food could use more attention. The staff at the lodge are very friendly, accommodating, and gracious, even in difficult situations. There can be issues with check-in delays and the place can seem short-staffed, with room service sometimes not provided. Overall, the stay is decent, wonderful, and highly recommended for a refreshing retreat. Small issues could be worked on, but nothing major. The location, peaceful setting, and cozy accommodations exceed expectations for a rustic mountain lodge.
We absolutely loved our stay here- beautiful quiet setting among big trees. Friendly staff, clean rooms, lots of trails and dog friendly!

Rooms are clean a bit outdated though. We enjoyed our visit to unwind and hike the trails. Beautiful location. I would recommend a stay.

We just ate at the restaurant, and the food was amazing. My only regret was not telling the Chef the food was awesome. I hope they see this. Also perfect Latte from the barista. I ordered 2. Thank you!
