“Have stayed several times over the past 6 years. Love it. The cabins are very clean with good quality furnishings and linens. Have cooked on each trip and the kitchens have all the necessities, other than food of course. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
And you can’t beat the location - 10,000 feet in the Sierras with comfortable beds and hot showers at the end of the day.
Best hike is up the Gem Lakes Trail (Little Lakes Trail) rising from 10,200 at the picturesque trailhead to 11,000 feet at the final lakes.
Rooms: For cabins built around 1930’s or 40’s the cabins are in excellent condition, well maintained, comfortable furniture, good quality linens, and kitchen ware suitable for 4-5 people including pots refrigerator, sink and stove.
Nearby activities: Hiking, primarily up the Gem Lakes trail (Little Lakes Trail) - quite beautiful, horseback riding from the Rock Creek Pack Station.
Safety: Completely safe area.
Walkability: The location is 10 miles up a mountain canyon so you gotta drive there. And the good is a 2 mile drive further up the canyon. Only activity in walking distance is fishing at Rock Creek Lake.
Food and drinks: The BBQ and pies are excellent, especially after an alpine hike.”

“I had a great stay at the wayfinder. The rooms were clean, modern, and comfortable, making it a great base for exploring the Eastern Sierra.
The complimentary breakfast was solid, and the happy hour was a nice bonus after a day of hiking and sightseeing. What really made the property stand out, though, was the beautiful creekside seating area with gas fireplaces. It was a relaxing place to unwind in the evening.
The front desk staff were friendly and accommodating, even offering to store my bags when I needed a place to keep them before check-in. The location is also excellent, within easy walking distance of restaurants, shops, and just about everything you’d want to visit in Bishop, with a pleasant park right across the street.
After looking at the other options in town, this is easily the best hotel in Bishop, and I would happily stay here again.”

“We stopped here for a couple beers after fishing and we had a great time! We ended up ordering food… burger and fries on one day. very yum! And another day we ordered a pizza also very yum. We will be back for sure! Better to chill here and grab a quick bite to eat instead of going into town where it’s hot as heck!”

“Arrived at 3am, exhausted from a night of driving. We pulled up, a nice woman at the front desk gave us the last room available. We weren't sure what to expect given some of the reviews, but we are pretty easy going in general. This hotel was very comfortable for a nights rest. The bed was firm, but comfy, AC, hot showers, clean, and the windows had blackout shades so you can get rest even once the sun has come up. The bathroom had the slightest smell when the shower was running, but I think maybe just older piping. Otherwise, no complaints! Would stay here again.”

“Only place with vacancy we were able to book last minute, 4 days before new years and new snow in mammoth. Rooms were clean, showers n restroom look new. Place looks upkeeped. 1st night there was a single strand of hair in one of the bed sheet, so idk. there was room cleaning on the 2nd day which we didnt expect but welcomed. Free breakfast is consist of bagels,french toast, waffle muffins, fruits, and cereal, no meats eggs. Juice fruits and coffee in lobby. They alao have 10% off to denny's and the pizza place next door. Fridge and mini fridge. Soap and shampoo included. All pretty standard, pretty satisfied”

“Their pool was very, very clean. All the workers were very friendly and helpful. My daughter left her Nintendo Switch when we checked out. Miguel from the hotel called us and kept it safe until we were able to go back and pick up. It’s wonderful to know the staff here are so honest and trustworthy!”

“Cleanish rooms. Remember, these are budget motels. Came in late and check in via virtual associate. Very large rooms with mini fridge, microwave. Would use again if on a budget.”
“Room was clean comfortable the mini fridge didn't work. The breakfast no coffee no juice only waffles and oatmeal. Went for breakfast at 9:15 they said would be available until 10. No one at the desk. The maid try to get into our room at 9 am she did not know we had not checked out. Over all I would book again just would Lower my expectations.”

“Windows wouldn't close all the way, inside door know comes off when trying to close the door, cant control room temp, parking is tight. Room was clean, didn't stink, quiet neighbors.”
