Owens Valley Distilling Company
237 E South St Unit E, BishopThis place is a must, hands down. The girls who work here are sweeter than sweet. The drinks are amazing. I ended buying a bottle of vodka and was curious of the sugar content and the girls knew immediately. They even had mocktails for my husband. The best part was the sweet chihuahua who owns the place.I honestly am so excited we made the extra stop. There are horses in the front yard and yummy treats. It will be a stop for us for years to come.

Pupfish Cafe
124 S Main St, BishopI stop here every time I'm traveling up the 395. Their matcha is the best and I don't say that lightly. The matcha is perfectly frothed and tastes delish. It's not too thin and not too thick. I get mine sweetened and it's not too sweet, it's truly perfectly balanced. I could go on and on, but it's hard to find a good matcha and theirs is the best. Tried the salted chocolate chip cookie this morning and WOW. Delicious. Highly recommend this place as a pit stop on your way on the 395!

Jack's Restaurant
437 N Main St, BishopIf you’re driving through Bishop and don’t stop at Jack’s Restaurant, you’re doing it wrong.
After a long stretch on 395, this place hits exactly how you want it to. Big portions, strong coffee, and the kind of comfort food that feels earned after hiking, fishing, or just surviving the drive.
The service was fast and genuinely friendly — not fake-friendly, but small-town “we’re glad you’re here” friendly. The pancakes are massive, the hash browns are actually crispy (rare these days), and the bacon was cooked perfectly.
It’s not trendy. It’s not trying to be. It’s just solid, reliable, mountain-town comfort food — and that’s exactly why it works.
Pro tip: Come hungry.

Salsa's Taqueria - Bishop
1347 Rocking W Dr, BishopNever judge a restaurant by its appearance... or in this case by its smell. When we arrived there was an interesting smell. We looked at the menu and were excited to see Birria Ramen! Yayyy! We ordered Birria Ramen and Taquitos combination plate. Wow, the Birria ramen is the best I've tasted and especially appreciated the finishing touch of a taco in it. 10/10 for presentation, taste and generous garnishes. The taquitos were good but the Birria ramen knocked it out the park. The horchata was also quite delicious and a nice sweet drink to go with our meal. I'd come back for some Birria ramen! The lady (she looked like she was doing it all) was super helpful and quick to bring out our food. They have lots of indoor seating, perfect for when it's chilly outside.

Rusty's Saloon & Grill Inc
112 N Main St, BishopIt’s Tuesday the 10th of February, I know your open. Unlock the door, I need a beer.
Update: they unlocked the door. Great bar for early weekday nights to have a couple and shoot some pool. Everyone complaining about not getting attention at the bar is just too lazy to walk to the bar mat and ask for a drink.

Also YUM!) and a large 50/50 pizza. Half meat lovers and half chick, bacon, mushroom with Alfredo sauce and two beers. They were on top of it and didn't mess anything up.
