We were traveling with our two dogs and one of them had gotten into something that gave her some sort of allergic reaction and she swelled up like crazy. It was the end of the day on a Friday, they knew we were coming and when my husband walked in carrying our dog they immediately met him on the waiting room to get a look at her right away. We were very grateful for their quick and kind service. I felt it was was very fairly priced for a emergency visit too. They even called the next week to follow up and see how our dog was going.

I was fearful she wasn’t going to make it last night but she pulled through and is getting much better this morning. Great vet listened to all our concerns, caring and experienced.

202 Old Mammoth Rd, Mammoth LakesLove the crepes. I ordered for 7:20 am on Tuesday, the strawberry crepes with their chocolate sauce and their coconut whip cream. Also, ordered a latte hot with lavender whip cream. Good amount of serving not skimpy. Delicious!!!! I ordered online and came a few minutes after the time I was suppose to pick them up. I still had to wait about 5 minutes. Just be aware if you are in a hurry you might want to order with extra time. Everything tasted fresh and good. Really dog friendly since it is outside.

Shelter Distilling
100 Canyon Blvd #217, Mammoth LakesBeautiful spot with a really cosy outdoor area. The courtyard is peaceful, with a pond, plenty of greenery, and a fire pit where you can sit with a drink or a meal and enjoy the surroundings. It feels more like a mountain lodge than a typical restaurant.
The food was great, the atmosphere was even better, and the staff were friendly.
The only downside is that they don’t accept cash at all — card payments only. We were carrying cash, so we had to ask another guest to pay with their card while we reimbursed them in cash. It worked out fine, but it wasn’t exactly convenient.
I understand this policy probably helps with security and cash handling, but it does limit customers. Cash is still legal tender, and many travellers still prefer using it.
I wouldn’t lower my rating because of this, but I hope the management considers giving customers the option to pay with either cash or card. Overall, we had a great experience and would happily come back.

The service was a bit slow, and we had to ask for a few extra items more than once before they arrived. It seemed that different staff members were responsible for taking orders, serving food, and clearing tables, which may have contributed to the delays.
Nevertheless, we came back a second time because we really enjoyed the food, and we would definitely recommend this place.

We didn’t think the culinary experience here would be of something to note but Roberto’s changed that thought on our first night. You wouldn’t think you would find such amazing Mexican food nestled within the mountains of the eastern Sierras but here we are. After a long day of hiking, we were famished and ready to eat anything. We wandered into Roberto’s and straight off the bat we saw Pozole and Menudo as the specials of the day. From that point we knew we were in for a fantastic meal. The staff were friendly and attentive. We ended up ordering the chicken fajita dinner and the chicken enchilada plate with Colorado (red ) sauce. The enchiladas were delicious but the star of the dinner were definitely the chicken fajitas! The chicken was so well seasoned and charred to perfection. The accompaniments of fresh tortillas, guacamole, pico de gallo, refried beans, and Spanish rice were so warming and elevated the meal further. Not only was it delicious but it was piping hot and fresh!
I was left craving that flavor for the next 2 days that I had to go back just for the fajitas and let me say, the first time wasn’t a fluke. The food was consistently good the second time as well. I also had a mango virgin margarita which as so fresh and not too sweet!
I love the small town, cozy feel! I can’t wait to come back in the future.
