“After a day of massive travel delays, we arrived at the lodge late at night and really couldn't see anything other than finding our way to the room. But goodness was it worth it. The room itself made up for all of the delays and all of the exhaustion! It was beyond clean and spacious! The bathroom with the soaking tub was everything! The shower was a dream! And the heated seat bidet? Changed our lives forever! ?. I'm always uncomfortable in typical hotel beds - but the bed at the Lodge? I want THIS bed in my own home! The lodge is located in Saratoga Village and this 'Tree City' is beautiful with so many restaurants within walking distance from the Lodge. I literally forgot I was staying at a 'hotel'! So beautiful! Thank you Saratoga Oaks Lodge for a wonderful experience!”

“We had an amazing weekend here! The rooms are large, newly remodeled, and very comfortable. We even had a really big private balcony. The historic part of the lodge is really cool and spooky looking. The staff knew all the history of the lodge and the area, they were basically tour guides!”

We had our son and his fiances rehearsal dinner here! It was such a beautiful location, the hosts were AMAZING, there were plenty of amenities to accomodate a group, and you cant beat the amazing redwoood trees. We felt so cared for by the attention to detail from the hosts and could not have asked for a better experience!”

“As part of a 12-person golf group, the combination of the Inn at Pasatiempo and Pasatiempo Golf Club was phenomenal. We thoroughly enjoyed everything. The dinner at the Back Nine Bar and Grill was incredible. We will be back.”

“All I can say is.. WOW.This is a hidden gem in the Bay Area. My entire stay was lovely. The location felt like a retreat oasis with the creek running right next to the rooms. The bed and rooms were comfortable and clean with plenty of room for luggage and belongings.The hotel staff is lovely and it felt like such a lovely getaway for my boyfriend and I.Will definitely be recommending this place and returning soon!”
“I realize I'm giving 5 stars to a 2.5 star property, but it's well deserved. We needed a last minute room in Santa Cruz while attending a show at UCSC. Found it on line. We were a little concerned about booking here due to the super low price.
When we arrived, we loved this property's location, ample parking & overall condition. The staff was friendly & professional. We were given an upstairs, large corner room with a King bed.
This property was perfect for what we needed.”

“I personally really liked this inn! Had to make a quick last minute stop here. Visited while on my trip to UC Santa Cruz. Clean Sheets and Clean Towels were provided and even a complementary breakfast!! Would recommend for a quick one night stop!”
“We decided to stay during the 4th of July weekend. Loved being in the Redwoods and having a castle next door was very cool. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was very outdated and definitely needed some upgrades from cracks in the flooring to the shower head coming apart from the wall. There was dirt and dust in the cracks and crevices. The beds were very cozy. No bugs. Breakfast was later then expected so if you think your going to eat before 8:30am...think again. It was also very slim pickings. I've stayed at other Quality Inns who had more variety. This one is basic toast, cereal, fruit and waffles. Overall I'd say its over priced but we were paying more for what was outside the walls then inside. (also could have been high priced because it was a holiday weekend) Nothing beats waking up with beautiful, tall trees everywhere. The pool area was nice and we enjoyed sitting around it. We were told it was heated...but I don't think it was. It was hot outside though so it didn't really matter at that time. We would stay again.”

“Just got back from a quick trip to Los Gatos and stayed at the hotel on Santa Cruz Avenue. It was really lovely – the common areas were beautifully done. Sharice at the front desk was fantastic, so friendly and helpful. Parking was easy, which is a big plus. Honestly, the whole place felt really welcoming and quiet, a nice escape. Would definitely recommend!”

“Super kind, responsive ownership. Clean and cute cabins that can potentially sleep 5. Dog friendly. The river right next to it is beautiful. You can walk to a nice restaurant in under 90 seconds and to a nice grocery store and gas station in under three minutes. The cabin was very clean with nice furniture.
This isn't so much a complaint as it is a suggestion: the showers are very dark and can be a challenge for people that don't have the best vision. Perhaps a battery powered LED light installed in the shower would help”
