“My brother's and sister's, I cannot forget the day I found out about JMJ's I was driving on a freeway and I say their logo at the back of their vehicle. I took a photo and I said to my self to visit. This was all the way when they just started as a business. We live at LA at that time and all my family events I go there to grab my souvenirs and gifts. That being said, after 7 years and leaving LA. We moved now from LA. Our family is growing and our faith is also nurturing. We do our 40 days following the little black book.. This year lent, we do not have it.. We are devastated, I tried online but it wasn't the same for us because we do not wanted any distractions. I searched all across platforms and we cannot find it. Then here we are, after praying and hoping 🙏 I called JMJ's and it's been a while since I have talked to them or we haven't even tried online purchases before at JMJ's. I felt as if I am talking to a family member.. Sadly, they ran out of English version.. Saddened but I haven't lost hope.. After three days, they called me.. With God's blessings they got ONE! Last one!! Me and my wife cried.. As if God is listening.. Thank you JMJ for being an instrument of God's blessings and salvation for those who seek him. Stay strong.. We are always praying for your business. From me and my family, we love you and you have a special place is our hearts. Let us support them.

“I just discovered this place. I love it! They have a good selection of classic literature. I've gone back twice in less than a week. Prices for paper back are very reasonable. Hardcovers are a bit more expensive but they are in really good condition. The staff is very kind and helpful.”

“I was blown away by the selection when I visited for the first time. I've lived in the area for 3 1/2 years but I've in Whittier. I only heard about it recently but had to get over there ASAP. Incredible selections of books, music, film, manga, children's lit, YA, etc. I was there with my family and we had little ones but if I was there alone, I could probably hang all day and spend too much money!”

I've been to this bookstore once and bought a book discussing the history of the Supreme Court for a very reasonable price. The shelves had a lot books, but were well organized, giving the customer plenty of choices. Overall, the environment and service was very pleasant.

“I will start with Roza, a Blessing to us from the Lord Jesus. Her life testimony is certainly a Blessing. Trial after trial, her family had, but the Lord brought them through. She has been at this business location for 37 years. She is a true walking and talking minister of the Lord. Her business has many different items, mostly in Spanish. She speaks 3 languages, Russian, English, and Spanish. This beautiful person, still drives and does a jail ministry with other women. Stop by and visit, and you will be Blessed.”
“Came here for my kids obsession with Needohs. Was able to get a few. They're kept behind the register. They also have a variety of other fidgets incase you are looking for some. Their kids section is so cute. I love the size of this mini Barnes and Noble. They also carry a variety of Calico Critters. Yes, I bought a few books too but the fidgets and trinkets are the cutest here!”

“Been going here once a month or two for a couple years now and its easily my favorite used book store in the area. All very reasonably priced, the majority are 1-4$. Yesterday I found 6 books on my list and only payed 17$ for the lot. So many other book stores ive walked out of empty handed because they price at $10+, ive seen used books at other stores priced for 30$ when you can get it brand new on Amazon for 10. So crazy.

On both days that I went, both gentlemen who were there were extremely kind and helpful in finding the books I was looking for and going through their vast catalogue.

Came in to buy some Korean books for my niece and ended up loving this place! They have an amazing selection of Korean children’s books, learning materials, and storybooks. It’s not always easy to find quality Korean books in the U.S., so discovering this store was such a pleasant surprise.
Everything was neatly organized, and I found exactly what I was looking for. If you want your kids (or nieces and nephews!) to stay connected to the Korean language and culture, this is definitely a place worth visiting. Highly recommend!”
