“I am writing this much overdue review on behalf of my father who has been a patient of Family Care Associates for the last 10+ years. Dr Aaron Roland along with Dr Ferris and Dr Jadallah have been treating my father since then. They have taken such good care of my father. Dr Roland is very responsive to questions and patients needs. He has on occasion called me late at evening/night to have me take my father to the ER when it was urgently needed. And even responded when he was on vacation. He provides very good explanations of medical issues in non medical terms making it easy to understand. He even recommends foods/dishes to make for my dad! The staff is also very responsive especially Veronica. Dr Roland has gone out of his way to take care of his patients over the years. Navigating through the Medi-Cal system is not easy and Dr Roland and his staff are persistent and always keep patients needs first and provide the advice and referrals needed. We will definitely miss Dr Roland once he retires - though I know it will be a much deserved time off - having taken care of patients for 30+ years!”

I always arrive at my appointments enthusiastically armed with a list of questions about how to keep myself in peak performance shape, prevent illnesses and injuries, which diagnostic tests are right for me, etc. She matches my enthusiasm for my well-being and takes the time to discuss her recommendations and the reasons behind them, citing the latest research, experts she's discussed the issues with, and symposiums she's attended on the issues. She's on top of it and clearly loves the field of medicine and being a doctor. She also remembers details from conversations we've had in years past, which always blows my mind. “After my primary doctor retired and suggested me to pick 3 colleagues to be my primary treating physician. Of the 3 physicians I chose Dr. Alice Yan. I didn’t review any of the 3 doctors since looking for a primary physician was my priority. Doctor Yan has been my physician for almost a year and she’s demonstrated to me that she is concern about my health. I will be 69 yrs old this year and looking for a good doctor as your primary treating physician is so difficult but the medical providers in Northern California isn’t accepting new patients. I was really fortunate to have Dr. Yan accept me as a new patient. That tells me that the doctors in this state - especially in the inner cities are overwhelmed by all the patients they have. It’s not going to get any better for us patients. We just need to know our medical professionals are doing their best to keep our health in check.”

“I have seen Dr Tam for years. I followed Dr Tam and Dr Howard from their previous practice. I've always felt in good hands with Dr. Tam. I've always felt very cared for. He is a compassionate man, and very well trained and educated. In fact, when my two sons aged out of their pediatrician I encourage them to establish a relationship with Dr. Tam I think that says it all... when a mother puts her children's care in the hands of a doctor it means something. My children are away at school but try to hold medical appointments until they are home or schedule telemedicine appointments. I also encouraged my fiancé to see Dr. Tam.”
