“We travel Interstate 5 often. When we find an easy place to get gas plus use the restroom we tend to frequent the location. To make my list the place must have a clean restroom. This Arco/AMPM meets this criteria of easy access and clean restrooms. As a bonus the gas is on the cheaper side in Buttonwillow and the AMPM has every sort of drink or snack you could think of. If you are near Buttonwillow on the 5, need gas and have to use the restroom this is a safe stop. Warning: be cautious of entering if the person in front of you has been in the restroom for awhile. These are private restrooms and entering after a long wait could be troublesome.”

“This place smells actually terrible but that’s not an issue of the station itself. Gas is a normal price for California. It has a terrible bathroom design because for some reason, the door to a stall is directly in front of the urinal, so when you open the door you get an eyeful of a dude peeing. Overall an okay experience.”
“Among the lower prices on this stretch of I-5 if you pay cash. Sometimes you might find a little lower, including E-Z Trip across the street. A couple pumps were broken when we showed up. I don't know why a gas station on I-5 would not be open 24 hours, but apparently this one isn't.”
“The lady there is extremely nice and very personable. I called to see if whether or not I could fuel my small truck and the lady was very nice and helpful. Diesel is extremely cheap here and I'm glad that they've been keeping it that way for a long time. Excellent service”

“UPDATE: Had to use the restroom again, it smelled bad so I febreezed it :) I finally paid it forward and helped someone with a gallon worth of gas. Additionally, I met a really cute couple with two cute doggos! They're headed to Portland! What a long journey, I hope they and get there safely! This place rocks! :)”

“Buttonwillow...Sometimes the best travel centers are in cities that are unknown to mankind. There are several gas stations around this particular area. TA is .20 more. There's plenty of parking for cars, RV's and semis.I particularly liked the customer service, the cleanliness/neatness of the store, and the sanitized/cleanliness of the bathroom and extra wide size stalls. I definitely recommend this stop.”
