“I recently visited Smith Brothers Hobby Center and had a fantastic experience.
David was incredibly helpful in guiding me through the selection of a remote control and accessories for my Tamiya RC car.
His knowledge and expertise were greatly appreciated, and I'm thankful for his assistance.
The store itself offers a wide range of hobby-related products, and the staff are friendly and approachable.
Overall, Smith Brothers Hobby Center provides excellent customer service and is a great destination for hobby enthusiasts.”
“Did the Lorwyn pre-release here and had a blast. They have mtg, Pokémon, Disney, and board game nights including 40k and some Digimon products, but nothing on YGO sadly. Vibes were good and the people were super friendly and the prices are solid. Got lucky and pulled two shock lands”
“This place is great! I was so afraid when their old location was closed they were gone but rest assured they moved to a new bigger location. Friendly staff great selections, only thing I would change is their back stock needs organizing.”
“Such an awesome place. Go in and meet the owner, what a talented humble and generous guy. Tons of beautiful handmade leather art pieces. Great products tools and wide selection of leather.”
“Entertainment Earth is my favorite place to buy action figures online. The only thing that I don't like is missing certain items that 'aren't mint' for hella cheaper. And it's happened hella times to. Like the other night I wanted to buy something that was $17.50 but in 'not mint' condition it was only $13.50 & of course as usual it was sold out by the time I noticed it”
“What a find in Malibu! Gary's PokeMart has cards for every TCG enthusiast. Their stock of Pokemon, Yugioh, and sports cards is an astounding Great service too!”
“I personally thought the man that helped me was rude. Made offer I personally thought was low. I decided to get 2nd opinion and he got rude and said I hope you sell it elsewhere as I don’t want to go thru it again. Well I did go elsewhere and got 1.50% above his offer”
“My son comes for Pokémon cards and it’s the highlight of his day. Every day we drove by and saw the sad note of the passing of the previous owner. We weren’t sure what was gonna happen. It’s hard to find companies that are genuine and serve their communities. We were delightfully surprised to see that the strong management is continuing. I was teaching him the value of money, and the staff was very attentive and supportive. We liked the little tribute in the corner to the old owner and it appears the staff is in good hands. I would highly recommend if you’re doing something in this arena. Come on by and check them out.”
“Great guy! Great atmosphere, was going to order online but decided to stop here and check things out. So glad I did and wanted to support a local business. Don definitely knows his stuff and has awesome instagram videos of what he does! Thanks again!”
“Great store with great customer service the workers are always very informative.this time of year they have everything for Christmas wrapping bags bows decorations ?”
“Our go to shop for crafts and church and homeschool materials.
They're considerate that they helped me with my curbside pick up even if I'm earlier than the scheduled time.”
“Traditions Christmas Shoppe is the absolute best place for Decorations. Especially Halloween. Even though it's called a Christmas Shoppe, it has all Holiday Decorations. Many Vintage, which I love. I placed an order over the phone. Their merchandise is superior. Well made, very detailed and arrives at your door quickly. The Associates that take your order are always nice & go out of their way to help you. I will shopping at Traditions often. It's also a Family Business. It's all good. Great place for Decorations.”
“I love this store! There are so few like it left in this Amazon world we live in, and their prices are so reasonable! They've been around forever, and I was so grateful they survived COVID. They have a little bit of everything and provide services like knife and scissor sharpening and they making keys as well - you can't even get keys made at Home Depot anymore - in this age of service-less stores, they now have a machine and you have to do it yourself - which may or may not work. The people at Knife Trader are so fair and honest that when I brought my cuticle scissors in for sharpening, they told me they didn't even need it! They could easily have just done it and charged me and I never would have known the difference. It's a blessing when you get to deal with good, kind, honest people. I highly recommend this neighborhood gem!”
“I love coming to Fire&Dice for Pokemon tournaments. The staff is always extremely friendly and accommodating! Their new location feels spacious without being overwhelming. Highly recommend if you are looking for Pokemon/Magic/etc cards.”
“I get all my enamel paint from Michael’s bc I don’t need 12 oz of spray paint to touch up my bikes. Staff is knowledgeable and helpful. They often have good sales. Not a bad place to shop.”
“Michaels has everything you will ever need in way of arts and crafts. They have classes to teach you things from painting to making a wreath. They are full of ideas. You can always find all sorts of ideas and craft packages for kids to make. I was in a rut because I ordered a bunch of crafts from a company for my Sunday School students to make. No one seems to sell religious arts and crafts in stores but I found them at Michael's. It wasn't big selection but I was grateful to find what I did. I actually met the late David McCallum there picking up some crafts. They have sketching, painting, floral, candles & candle making kits. They have gemstones and findings for making jewelry, wood crafts for painting as well as Canvasses. It's really wonderful just how much they have. All the personnel know about everything you need to find and make something and how to do it. Michael's makes the world a better place.”
“Hello, I visited this very nice helpful and friendly Family owned business and was pleasantly surprised in a very professional, knowledgeable way of doing business, so the store was very organized and my overall experience for a 1st tike visitor was A+++. If you like beads or want help with ideas, then this is place to go without hesitation, so I will be back soon!”
“These guys informed me about getting my cards GRADED...pretty honest with me and helped me out alot.if u have valuable.baseball..basketball..and comic books.your thinking of selling.these guys no what there talking about.they answered all my questions.and helped me out alot.”
“Best card shop out there with fair pricing. Only store I buy Pokémon and TCG product. Have been coming here for about 7 years now. Great staff! Loved their Sunday League for Pokemon, cant wait to get back to it!”
“As the author of The Grant Colson Thriller Series and SERA Archives thriller novels, I always enjoy visiting standout bookstores, and Barnes & Noble in Calabasas at The Commons is a beautiful location.
The store has a strong two-story design with escalators leading up to the second level. The layout feels open and inviting, with a warm interior that makes it easy to settle in and spend time browsing.
One of the standout features is the manga section. It’s large and well stocked, and it really draws attention when you walk through. The mystery and thriller wall is also nicely set up, with a good range of titles and a clean presentation.
The café is a great space, with a mural of famous authors that adds character and makes it a comfortable place to sit and read. I always enjoy seeing my own book on the shelf here, which adds a personal touch to the visit.
The surrounding Commons area is upscale and well maintained, and parking is fairly easy with plenty of space available.
I also spent some time in the romance section while working on The Maui Desire Romance Series, and it’s a well-organized area that fits nicely alongside the rest of the store.
Overall, it’s a bright, welcoming Barnes & Noble in Calabasas with a great layout, strong selection, and a comfortable atmosphere that makes it easy to come back.”
