“After interviewing 8 companies, we chose Ca. Skyline to remodel a master bath. Some companies tell you they've been in business a long time--but always check their license for 1) how long in business? and 2) do they carry workmen's compensation? If they don't present you with the legally required "buyer's remorse" clause--run the other way. One company gave a lower price and said they could complete the work in one day. That's ridiculous--and the lack of quality we would have had to live with. One thing we noticed, and this is important: the workers for Skyline worked confidently--and were happy. We made various aesthetic decisions along the way--and often got valuable input. A worker suggested adding a towel bar which he modified and attached to a cabinet. Last minute water filters were added at no extra charge. Head crewman Biblioni was masterful in his craftsmanship throughout. A separate company installed our custom-made shower door. Their representative said they often find sloppy work that makes their job harder--this one was done with less than 1/16 in difference from top to bottom (more than acceptable) and grout lines were straight and evenly filled. Many companies offer to do work without getting inspections along the way. If you have problems later, insurance companies will not pay if there were not proper inspections. Be smart about it. Be even smarter and use a company with experienced workers instead of ones who hire new workers every time. Our bathroom is great.”

“We received quotes from several other contractors who either charged too much, or said we couldn't add a second story. We worked closely with Shawn from start to finish and are incredibly pleased with the workmanship. He was patient with our questions and concerns, and all of the back and forth that comes with making big decisions involved in a home remodel. He's responsive and knowledgeable -- and continues to be -- even as the project has come to a close.

It was a long process (15+ months) to add a second story above our garage and completely remodel our living area, garage, and kitchen; this included tearing down walls to increase our square footage, but it was definitely worth the wait. As others have noted, the pace of work hit some snags due to torrential rains and permit issues, but all things that are outside of our control.

“This company is a God sent! We are a small and magical rescue farm that got heavily flooded during Hilary. We were helpless. Our home and garage were flooded and our animals habitats and barns were under heavy threat. We yelped restoration companies around us and called Green Planet. As soon as the dispatcher answered my call I knew I was in good hands. They took our emergency very seriously, we're extremely concerned for our animals and sent service technicians with heavy professional equipment immediately. They took care of pumping water, drying habitats and stalls and attended to the house. Room by room was packed and dried. They even left pumping and drying equipment for us over night as we anticipated more rain. The price was reasonable and affordable. It was a horrible situation turned positive and dry with the help of these angels. Highly recommended.”

The tile is both places is perfection as well as the installation of the latest style cabinets and fixtures. Needless to say, everything in the master bathroom had to be changed, including moving the pipes and the sewage drain. After speaking with a couple of different contractors, we decided to go with Palatin Remodeling. Gil was very professional, listened to what we needed, and gave us advice when asked. He kept me in the loop during every step. When I asked to change something mid-way, his team did so with no complaints, and most importantly, without trying to talk me in to keeping the original plan, even when it was an inconvenience to them. (Which had actually happened with another contractor in our previous home). They finished when he said and not a penny over his quoted price. He didn't even take the final payment until he made sure I tested everything to make sure all was in order, after the final inspection.We were so happy with Gil and his team, that I also changed out the facade of our house, removing the old-school arches. In particular the installation was impressive and could not have gone better. Originally the company called and said the installation timeline was pushed a day late because the windows would not be ready until the mid morning of installation day. Instead, they said okay, we’ll still make it but we’ll be a few hours later. The installer Phil was top notch. He worked for hours straight with my permission working until 7 PM to get the job done and he did it beautifully. I had 4 young kids in my home and having windows installed with them around wasn’t easy, but Phil was so polite and considerate making sure to close gates and doors for my young ones. The windows are gorgeous, I was so pleased to have them in place for our party on time, and so grateful for Phil and this company going the extra mile to make it happen. When he left, the house was spotless, not a single bit of debris anywhere. I have hired out a lot of work on our homes and this was by far the best experience I have ever had. Companies like this, that hustle to make their customers happy, are very rare these days!”
