“As the author of The Grant Colson Thriller Series and SERA Archives thriller novels, I always enjoy visiting standout bookstores, and Barnes & Noble in Calabasas at The Commons is a beautiful location.
The store has a strong two-story design with escalators leading up to the second level. The layout feels open and inviting, with a warm interior that makes it easy to settle in and spend time browsing.
One of the standout features is the manga section. It’s large and well stocked, and it really draws attention when you walk through. The mystery and thriller wall is also nicely set up, with a good range of titles and a clean presentation.
The café is a great space, with a mural of famous authors that adds character and makes it a comfortable place to sit and read. I always enjoy seeing my own book on the shelf here, which adds a personal touch to the visit.
The surrounding Commons area is upscale and well maintained, and parking is fairly easy with plenty of space available.
I also spent some time in the romance section while working on The Maui Desire Romance Series, and it’s a well-organized area that fits nicely alongside the rest of the store.
Overall, it’s a bright, welcoming Barnes & Noble in Calabasas with a great layout, strong selection, and a comfortable atmosphere that makes it easy to come back.”
“This is my go-to shop hands down. I drive from Camarillo simply because the staff, the environment, the pricing, the selection, just everything about A Hidden Fortress is in a different league than other LGS. To be honest this review is long overdue as I've been a return customer for the past several months. All the staff is great, but special shoutout to Chase; between his knowledge and friendliness, it's always fun to stop by when he's working”
“I’ve ordered from Entertainment Earth several times over the years and never had any issues until recently. After contacting them about a few items in question, Donald Tapia was immediately on top of it. He was very knowledgeable, kind, and helpful throughout the process.
Thank you, Donald, and thank you Entertainment Earth. Not only do they offer great products, but their customer service is even better.”
“I was here last weekend for the PSA event, and this place was solid. It’s more than just a regular comic shop. They have comics, toys, TCG stuff, and enough space to actually host events without it feeling thrown together. The shop had a good collector vibe, and it felt like a place built for people who are really into the hobby, not just casual browsing.
The PSA event was the main reason I went, and I appreciated having something like that available locally instead of having to deal with everything by mail. Overall, cool shop, good setup, and definitely a place I’d come back to for comics, cards, or future events.”
“High recommend. This place is awesome. It’s small, but sufficient. Check em out if you’re into 80’s nostalgia, model kits, etc. They may have what you’re looking for. The staff is friendly and will answer any of your questions.”

“Employees here are very helpful and nice. We've been here several times with little kids that run around and instead of being annoyed, they engage with the kids. They also help us find minifig parts were looking for.”
“Hands down my favorite local tcg shop to go to. They cater to players and have reasonably priced tcg items. Owners are amazing! Also their staff are pretty cool and friendly. Definitely would recommend coming here for tournaments.”

“One of the few Official OG Sanrio Stores! The store has very cute window displays and a lot of unique items to choose from. I chose a Gund X Sanrio Caffe Latte Blindbox. If you ever need a cheer up, pick out something cute from here. Loved getting the official bag as well ???”
“Toy Crazy is one of Malibu's best local shops and a go-to destination for gifts.
The store has a wonderful selection of toys, games, crafts, stuffed animals, and unique gifts for children of all ages. Whether you're shopping for a birthday party, holiday, or last-minute gift, Toy Crazy always seems to have the perfect option.
What makes the store especially special is the staff. They are consistently kind, helpful, and patient, making shopping easy and enjoyable. If you're not sure what to buy, they're great at helping you find something age-appropriate and fun.
In a world where it's easy to order everything online, Toy Crazy reminds you how valuable a local toy store can be. It's a community gem that brings joy to kids and makes gift-giving so much easier for parents.
If you need a gift for a child, skip the big-box stores and shop local. Toy Crazy is a Malibu treasure worth supporting.”

“I just want to share the excellent and truly grateful experience I had today at the Five Below store in Granada Hills.
Yesterday, while I was about to get gas, I realized I didn’t have my wallet with me. I searched everywhere—at home and at work—but couldn’t find it. Later, I remembered that I had visited the Granada Hills Five Below on Wednesday evening.
This morning, I called the store and asked if they could check to see if someone had turned in a Hello Kitty wallet. The person who answered, Stephanie, was incredibly kind and helpful. She asked me to hold while she checked, and shortly after, she confirmed they had my wallet safely stored.
I can’t express enough how much I appreciate that my wallet was kept safe. Inside were my work credit cards, personal debit cards, Universal Member Pass, and some cash—and everything was still there.
Five Below has always been one of my favorite stores, but now the Granada Hills location is officially my favorite! Special thanks to Stephanie for her kindness, professionalism, and truly great customer care.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!”
“Great shop love coming here and they have very knowledgeable & kind employees. Their prices might be a little high but ive seen higher at other stores. At the end of the day if they have Pokemon they can sell at whatever price they want. Dont get discouraged because of the ratings are, surly they’re fake. Owner and employees are very genuine.”
