“Been taking my BC for herding lessons for a little over a month (weekly). Sign up is online and super easy!Rachel is so empathetic to my mama’s boy’s needs and he’s progressing so much every lesson! I’ve chatted with Robin also, and I’m really impressed with her deep knowledge of herding training and her philosophy that dogs should be taught by the work they were born to, where possible.The livestock (sheep and multiple birb types) are compassionately handled and well cared for. The super beginner sheep pull to the handler, not the exit, which is really important for dogs and handlers who are new to the herding experience. And it shows that the sheep trust people and aren’t soured on interacting with dogs who are still learning the difference between chase/play and real work.The facility is just a couple turns off the interstate, very easy to find. But you still get that “visit to the farm” feeling. :)I’ll be doing a week of board and train in a month or so, and I’ll add info on that experience then!Update: Nov 2023 Boarding training! My mama's boy spent a week being a farm dog and had an awesome time. He made some nice progress on his herding training, but more importantly, he got to play and socialize with some of the other nice dogs there for training. Note: it's not fancy! It's a farm! But I have a lot of experience with other farm boarding and I was impressed with the time my pupper got to hang out, out of the kennel, and be a dog. I got my pup in 2020, and he ended up getting no socialization -- so this was a really great opportunity for him!He'll be going back to "sheep camp" regularly, for sure. :)”

“Best .. I mean the best Carnicería in town. My parents have been going here for over 36 years. Since they came here from Mexico. The meat is fresh and it always is kept clean. The chorizo sold here is like no other. The flavor is amazing with the right hint of spice. I'm a little sad the changed the type of meat as it is a lot fryer now. I have meant to speak to the owner but haven't had a chance. They are very friendly and would be open to the feedback, especially for loyal customers. I highly recommend getting meat here. They'll even chop it up for you if not too busy and you ask. Family owned and operated too!”

“I ordered food from the kitchen two dozen of enchiladas of carne asada. And some refried beans.They were delicious. I bought them for a group event and they were a hit. So much the host of the house asked me to order them again for a different event. The food is very authentic. Very nicely packed generous portions. They have never disappointed me.”

“I frequently buy at this store because of its quality of product, mainly its very fresh, quality meat and good service. I constantly recommend it to friends. Unfortunately, on Sunday I went at 7:00 pm to buy 7 pounds of northern rib, I asked for it marinated as usual, but The man who served me on this occasion gave me terrible service, very rude, saying bad words in a low voice, annoyed by marinating the meat and I say annoyed because he only added seasoning powder, which never happens, my meat is always juicy and well marinated and now that was it. “My husband and I love the fresh, hot turkey carnitas from their deli. It's mainly the only reason why we shop there. We will be ordering a couple of pounds for Thanksgiving. It's especially become our annual tradition. It's also an excellent alternative and very economical to preparing an entire turkey for a small family! The most difficult thing for me to remember is to be there prior to 7p.m.; as afterwards they begin to do their deep cleaning prior to closing for the night. I can appreciate the updated atmosphere with the inclusion new tables. Even though I don't speak Spanish, the staff are always friendly and helpful.
The only thing that I don't like is that the non deli lines have been insanely long and difficult to navigate around in the evenings and on weekends. I'm a wheelchair user. I've often been frustrated that those lanes are generally closed when the signs indicate that they should always be open.”
