The omelets are great but the egg feels and tastes like bucket eggs and not fresh eggs but the waitresses are very polite and helpful they're very nice and that's why I will keep on coming back plus the family atmosphere feeling is great as well.

Went for late breakfast, early lunch. Was seated as we entered with no wait. Interior is dated and could use some freshening up. Really large menu that suggests alot of the food has to be frozen to keep such a selection. My omelet was ok and pancakes were good. Service was great. Place is clean inside. Would go back. Prices are reasonable.

We really wanted to like Effie's because the retro atmosphere is really cool; however, we've been to Effie's 3 times and won't return again. The first 2 times, the wait staff were wonderful: a tall, older gentleman who has been with Effie's for years and a waitress who had just started. Both were delightful. On both occasions, we overlooked the flaws in the food; for example, the couscous in my salad was not cooked at all, just thrown on the salad. The champagne cocktail was good. The second time the calamari and shrimp scampi were OK, and at the time, they offered La Crema chardonnay, which is an everyday, drinkable wine. Our last visit on April 10th, the food was not good (I won't go into detail here but i could); the mixed drinks tasted watered down; La Crema was no longer on the menu (substituted for another which I didn't drink after 1 sip) and our waitress could have cared less. She was very rude and confrontational. We asked for the manager, who was not there at the time. Her response: " they're not going to do anything just because you don't like the wine." We were stunned. After asking for his name 3 times, we got a phone number (restaurant) scribbled on a piece of paper, no name and delivered with a major attitude. This restaurant is way over-priced for the quality of food, drink and negative attitude we experienced the last time. Again, we wanted to like Effie's but just won't go back.Parking: We had no problem parking although we the restaurant was not busy all 3 times we were there.

Be careful ordering from this place for delivery. We just bought 2 of the $34 seafood salads and Effies gave us no dressing... really....? Expensive salad × 2 & no dressing. Nope.

I stopped in for coffee and breakfast before an appointment in the area. The omlete was massive. It was great that they were willing to customize the omlete, and it was delicious. The coffee was fine, but nothing extraordinary. The fruit cup was fresh and toast browned to perfection. The place looks dated in and out, but to the extent of it being a real vibe. The servers were beyond friendly, with a touch of hospitality that aligned to the dated interior. They were very welcoming.

I always try to say something good about the restaurant, so it has a very nice layout.I had a hamburger. It was beautiful, but it was bone dry, no taste..just a bad burger. The fries were dry as well. Felt like these are pre-made and then nuked. My wife took 2 bites of her cornbeef sandwich and put it down. She questioned how old the meat was and hoped she didn't get sick.I cannot recommend the restaurant at all.

The elegance of "classic" fine dining, the service was attentive, the food wonderful, the karoke was fun and a great place to relax and ENJOY.....Kid-friendliness: Not really child friendly. Mostly elderly and couples dining, corporate lunches, and fine foods.

Effie's is one of the nicest traditional comfort food restaurants in the South Bay area. Many breakfast options to choose from as well as more options for lunch and dinner thananyrestaurant around. Drinks are available from the bar. Expect amazing service from the staff, a clean environment, and plentiful servings. Unless you are a glutton, expect to ask for a doggie bag. The dessert menu varies. Every item on it is scrumptious ?.
