Wish I could give them more stars. Poor customer service and staff is both unhelpful and unfriendly. Do yourself a favor and go to the Santa Cruz A T and T store. Super welcoming, helpful and kind.

I bought a defective phone in this AT&T store at Capitola Mall store 3 days ago, the very pleasant and professional staff took 2 hours trying to get it to work properly. The speakerphone didn't work - it cut out as soon as the phone answered. I came back the next day because the problem still remained and once again the fault seemed to go away. It was intermittent - the worst type of problem. Today I went back to return the phone and was met by someone called Joseph, claiming to be the manager. No badge, no AT&T insignia and an unbelievably belligerent type. I obviously don't want to be stuck with this expensive phone for three years, so I brought it back to swap for another of the same model or any other - just not this defective one. He suddenly said he would do nothing for me - no return nothing and threatened to have me escorted out by mall security. I was polite but firm throughout, not wanting to be bullied into being stuck with this 3-day-old defective phone or a $55 restocking charge.
This is not AT&T - it's a licensed retailer called Bluelink Wireless., This employee claiming to be 'the manager' is Joseph. The situation was outrageous and needs to be addressed urgently. Joseph needs to be dumped immediately. He apprently has a reputation for this type of belligerent behavior, known to the other local AT&T stores.
If you go in there and see this guy with a huge black beard a load of heavy gold chains and no AT&T badge - just leave, buy elsewhere because he does not care about you as an AT&T customer. Bluelink Wireless can surely do better in their choice of employees.

Dana was wonderful, timely and very thorough. He asked what we were looking for. Got us a great deal. Help Switch our satellite TV over to streaming. He was very polite and courteous and never forced a sale upon us. We didn't even make it through the door before he greeted us!

We tried to switch my daughter's phone information for almost a week at home and we're unable. When we went into the store we were helped by Dane and Martin right away. They were able to not only solve our issues but upgraded my daughter's plan while we were here. Definitely 100% happy with our visit.

I’d click “NO” Star if I could, all I can say is avoid this Store, apparently up sales is there Modo, I cam in to switch Phone Numbers and was immediately pushed on buying a $12.00 AARP Membership, otherwise they charge $35.00. Like what, I came in to get my lines switched that are currently with AT&T, well I ended up going home for the second time from this store, picked up the phone and called the 888 Number, got immediate help from the “Porting” department, oh and by the way it’s free! No up-Sales from an Arrogant Salesman. If you look in the Mall and see so many vacant stores you can only wonder why! The service is atrocious in the store, I will never ever go in there again and I’ve been a 25+ year AT&T customer. Bulldoze that Mall and make a Skate park for us Seniors or is that Hospital bed Racetrack whatever. That Mall Sucks, 40 year resident of Live Oak
