This is a small Macy's. I grew up in this county and didn't know how big Macy's stores could be. I unfortunately will drive to Westfield Mall Macy's because there are more options for everything Macy's has. Nice store in Capitol Mall.

Great store. Quality clothing and kitchen wears. It's nice to be able to go and look at what you're buying maybe try it on. Unfortunately I fear it may soon be gone like all the other department stores.

Service is hit or miss, selection is blah. My big mistake was the credit card gimmick. The sales associate had no problem assuring me I could get the 20% off, pay on the spot and forget the card. She said it would take 2 minutes and not require any personal info. She reached over me to hit enter on the key pad as I paused to review terms. After giving Macy's social, phone, address, ssn, etc, and spending 15+ minutes on the card process, I finally walked out thinking I'd saved $50 and could just cancel the card. A week later i get a bill with some random charges. if I'd ignored this the compounding interest and late fees would quickly turn into a whole ordeal. What a scam.

Today I went to Macy's located on 41st Avenue in Santa Cruz & I was helped by Jenny at the Estee Lauder counter. Jenny was so helpful, kind & a pleasure to work with. She told me that I qualified for the reserve cosmetics but I had to wait for 11 more days. She noticed that I wasn't a reward member so she signed me up so quickly. She also helped me choose my cosmetics that I qualified for & she even gave me samples of what I had came to purchase but had to wait. I love Macy's, Estée Lauder cosmetics & perfumes & when you deal with such a pleasurable person, it brings that much more value to the store & brand.

I'll give this place a one star it might of been closer to a zero I literally was looking to spend some money for a ring for my Gf and the Asian gentleman in the jewelry section didn't even ask me if I needed help or ask how I was doing I was standing looking for a bit all he did was look at me like I was some nuisance with his smug face. And I ain't lying about this interaction as I was writing this some woman across the hall asked if I been helped bless her heart she needs an actual promotion or raise her customer service was a plus !!!

If you buy a watch and it's damaged during resizing you don't get a refund or exchange, because it's been altered even though Macys actually damaged it.

Generally I love Macy's but this particular one is weird. My tween daughter commented "even the clothes meant for teens look like old lady clothes!" ? Plus, fix the escalator already!

Great customer service at the cashier desk, able to order a bra in an additional color to be shipped to my home since they didn't have any in stock at the store.

Manager at Macy's at Capitola is not at all helpful. Her staff made a mistake on a return and she was not willing to correct it.
