Cardiff Surf Co. is the go-to surf shop for surfing and beach needs. Located right across from the San Elijo State Beach campgrounds, it offers a huge selection of rentals including hard boards, soft boards, body boards, wetsuits, umbrellas, and beach chairs. The shop has everything one could need, from boards, clothing, wax, and sunscreen to great brands like Billabong, Reef, Smith, Sun Bum, and its own in-house gear. It is well-known for its high-quality custom surfboards, ranging from long-boards to short-boards, made by its in-house brand Iron Cross Surfboards. The staff and owners are described as authentic, super kind, helpful, competent, knowledgeable, funny, honest, and earthy. They provide great advice and excellent customer service. Came in to rent a umbrella and chairs and to buy a towel to use for sitting on. The two men working were such a huge help to me. Giving advice on the towel and helping me carry things out to my van. Would recommend this place to anyone wanting to rent items or buy for a time on the beach.
