“A interesting store. I like coming here & taking my time to browse. I think it's items from Japan. The prices are in not in english, so its tuff sometimes to figure out how much some things are. Basicly if there is no price, it costs $1.75. Unless otherwise mark, sometimes its not marked. But it still very cool to shop.”
“Remember when there were mom and pop corner grocery stores?
This one is the real deal. It is locally owned and operated. The prices are the best around. The employees are absolutely amazing. Big smiles all the time.
The produce guy knows what I like and points out things that he knows I will like. Their organic section is small but mighty, offering excellent prices.
The dairy guy also makes sure the products I’m looking for are there, along with a chit chat about what’s going on.
If you get a haircut, they notice.
You’ve been on vacation, they ask about your trip. Doesn’t get any better than this place!”
“Cynthia Melissa and Fernando are my HEROS! I forgot my wallet in the store- filled with hundreds of dollars worth of giftcards for the holidays, my passport, car registration etc. By chance I stopped by a week later- they had it in an envelope with my address on it- they were getting ready to mail it back to me! They saved my holidays <3 Words cant even express my gratitude!!!”
“I love the store, the crew was GREAT!! Now you got young girls as cashiers, they don't greet, say hi or asknowledge you when its your turn. They just DON'T TALK!! WHERE ARE SOCIAL SKILLS...should be able to interact with people, or don't let them be in front, keep them stocking. Bring back the ladies who smile and are happy!!! ???? love the discounts and you can find decent items here.”
“I know Dollar Tree isn't usually a place people check on yelp, but I thought the staff deserved to be recognized for an incident I witnessed last time I shopped. An elderly lady with a cane was flustered and couldn't find her pocketbook in her purse. She held up the line a little, but we all patiently waited until another lady shopper offered to buy her items and then follow her out to collect the eight bucks when the older lady found it in her car. They headed out, but someone saw her wallet in the store and the cashier made a mad dash to return the wallet and save the day. Very nice folks work and shop here.”
“Unbelievably good quality clothes with soo affordable prices! My first time trying this store was in san marcos where i ended with really cute sweaters, and today i decided to visit it again, and it totally did not disappoint - i ended with twice as much clothes as i bought the first time! I usually go to ross and marshalls, but from now on this would def be my go to!”
“Great place to shop, cashier's are great also. I wish more people worked there. I understand that's not the cashier's fault. They were getting their butt kicked when i was there. Line down and around the isles.”
“Something about this grocery outlet, they do it right well stocked with things I need friendly staff clean store and spacious. Of all the grocery outlets in San Diego county I'd rate this one the best.”
“Store is always clean and staff is always helpful if you have any questions. Also they now do ear piercing in store. I love that and yes I got my ear pierced and she did a great job. This was the one in oceanside inside marketplace shopping center”
“Can you say everything under one roof? That's what this MCX has and in such a huge place, you should find something for everyone. As a Navy vet from LA, why drive all the way down to 32nd St NEX in SD when you can just visit MCB Camp Pendleton? I sure did and am happy to do so.”
“Better than Five O', It's kinda like the 99 cents store. Me and my friend walked down to a nearby Dollar tree by his house. I went into there deciding either to buy a drink, wafers, chips, or a frozen treat. Everything there is $1-5 once you walk in. I bought a frozen Minute Maid Orangeade and Brim Cheeto Puffs and the next day I ate the whole bag at my house without my mom and dad knowing. I am the type of kid that sort of eats the whole bag and package of my favorite snacks ranked. They have less toys and more food. It was a quiet service once me and my friend came to check out. It was a 5 minute wait to get out of the store and bounce. All of a sudden, we see this homeless guy (I might be wrong about that) But the guy was walking into the store who is wearing black sandals and old rusty black sweatpants and a grey jacket, I cannot believe the Employees treated the guy with the upmost respect and not even hitting him with a broom. Me and my friend were confused looking over the other checkout line in the front by the doors. It kinda feels like a Candyland once you walk into the Dollar tree store because Easter Szn is coming up. But I definitely think Dollar Tree might be a way better choice than Five O', All the prices at the Dollar tree are less cheaper than having a high expense of money at other big shopping stores.”
“Love love love this dollar tree, it's always organized, clean and stocked. The employees are always in a good mood and always kind. Service, value always a great experience!”
“The dollar tree is so close to my house. They have some of everything. Food, household cleaning supplies, arts and crafts stuff and it's located a couple miles from the beach.”
“Family Dollar is literally the only store that is open/operating in the run-down shopping center. This means there's no trouble finding parking, ever. It's very convenient and open late (10 PM). The prices are relatively reasonable, for most items. They offer weekly coupons and they are best accessed on the Family Dollar App/Smart Coupons. Family Dollar often has deals and clearance items throughout the store. A coupon I see often is "$5 off when you spend $25 or more." Family Dollar carries it all. If it's late and you are in the area, it's easy to run in and out. They have household items, cleaning, food & beverage, office & school supplies, party supplies, and so much more. The inventory isn't big, but you'll find the essentials and a little more. They carry way too many items to have a robust inventory in a small store front. The employees at this location are friendly and talkative. They always greet each and every customer. A few things I'd love to see...I'd love to see Family Dollar sell ice and more pet supplies. Also, it's inconvenient to not be able to push the cart out of the store, but I completely understand. No need to elaborate, right? Like I said, it's a small retail store that stocks a range of everyday items. Some items cost slightly more, but that's the price of convenience and some are even cheaper than the $1.25 Tree/Dollar Tree. If you go to shop, shop accordingly and know your prices, so you can buy select items here/elsewhere.”
“This Five Below location is great except they've had the back part of the store blocked off for quite a while since November of 2022 since the store opened and the location is almost always out of stock of things and has the same item selection but other than that I really love Five Below you can find things under 5 dollars and upper and service her is great except they close the self checkouts and people have to assist you checking out which I don't understand why if it's self-checkout!”

“Update: May 22, 2024
I changed from 3 stars to 5 stars
I believe it's under new management and it shows! Super organized and had some finds I haven't seen at other locations. Good job! Just wish it was open later.
Typically I love the dollar tree. Even sometimes this one. But today it was completely disheveled they did not have one type C charger in the whole store, which is why I came in, so that was kind of lame. I’ve been here before so it’s definitely three stars for sure if not more but like I said it was very message today and it’s been like that before. I will say that some of the workers are very nice.”
“Shopping for my Church, Mariners Oceanside, Outreach and Service Ministry.Purchased most of the items we needed to pack hygiene bags for the asylum seekers that have entered our city.Shopped at the store located off Jefferson in Carlsbad. The cashier was so patient and accommodating as we cleared the three carts we had filled with items for the hygiene bags. My sincere thanks go out to her for her patience and assistance and to The Dollar Tree. One-stop shopping at a reasonable price in a time of need.”
“This Dollar Tree is always clean and well stocked. The cashiers are always friendly and the manager (woman with hair usually up, I'm not sure of her name) always goes above and beyond. In today's world, sadly, if you go to the register talking about looking for something they just go "uh huh" and keep checking you out but if you mention something here, and I go here a LOT, they will point you toward it and say "actually, we DO have that" or "what about this, instead" if they don't. All together this is a great store in a nice area. They have things you'd never dream would be $1.25 AND, for it being a Dollar Tree the ambiance and people you encounter there makes it seem like you're in a Target or the like. I highly recommend!”
