“Augustina’s is one of my favorite places to visit and shop. The friendliness and helpfulness of the owner and staff are terrific.
I live out of the country and visit Augustina’s whenever I come back, about twice a year. On my last visit, I bought a beautiful sweater. Unfortunately, it started to pill after wearing it just a few times. On my next visit (several months later), I brought the sweater in and pointed out the problem.
I wasn’t sure what could be done since it was long time between visits. But the owner immediately said to go get a new sweater. No questions asked! I was very grateful for her kindness and generosity.
I highly recommend this place! You will be treated so well. And they have gorgeous clothes and jewelry, one of a kind.”

“Honestly I'm not that big of a shopper anymore but love the vibe of this center. In particular how everything hovers around the main courtyard makes it quaint and inviting. I appreciate the various sitting areas for those who like to simply enjoy time and space but there are are plenty great shops around for those who love that part too. Wish there were more restaurants in this center but it's pretty small so I'm sure they have to divy up between dining/shopping/etc.”

They know what makes you look your best and will tell you, even if it means missing a sale. These gals are about getting you pieces you'll keep for a long time and look fabulous wearing. “I tend to purchase James Perse clothing while traveling due to it’s practical and comfortable nature. I find that under packing allows for shopping at the destination. I found this comfortable, welcoming store and spent quite a bit of time looking around. Staff was friendly and informative. I found a fun collection of brands from which to choose and ended up selecting from their James Perse offerings. I was surprised to discover that this store is relatively new; it sure felt as if had been here in Carmel for years. I’ll certainly return when I next visit Carmel.Four years later:I stop by this store when visiting here annually. I usually find something for myself and a few pieces for my daughter because she is a smaller, more common, size. I find fun clothing that I don't see at stores near home and I'm pleased to be able to see and touch fabrics, avoiding the disappointment I've experienced when purchasing on line. I do not treasure being bombarded by overbearing sales staff and this place is comfortable, allowing me to explore while they answer questions regarding brand sizing. Among favorites items at this store are the Carbon brand tee shirts which, amazingly, are long enough for my 6'7" husband. Each visit we are able to purchase a couple new colors. The fabric is substantial and they wash well.”
