“Visited the Mole Hole earlier today with my wife and friend, and it was such a lovely and magical experience. The owner was a terrific older man who made us feel not only welcome, but was a treat to talk to. He single-handedly made me want to revisit Carmel—and of course the shop!—more often. (This is also saying something, considering that immediately after, I had the worst customer service experience of my life at a nearby shop.)

The shop selection is eclectic and wonderful, and arranged in such a way that you can always find something new no matter where you’re looking. The venue is small and charming, yet it feels like the perfect space to get lost in an adventure. I wish I could have spent longer looking at all of the little treasures nestled around the place.

My wife also surprised me with a very sweet little gift from the Mole Hole, which I love and will treasure. She apparently had a great conversation with the proprietor, and we both left feeling really great about our experiences.”

“Minori, the owner, was wonderful. Such a peaceful store tucked away in downtown Carmel. The quilts are BEAUTIFUL and all handmade in India. Would absolutely recommend!”

The best selection of gifts in every price range, plus fun cards, books, cute jewelry, and unique things for people of every age. It's one of my all-time favorite stores. “Amazing Experience.
Felt a sweet peace from the moment I walked through the door. Honesty at the counter was the sweetest. She was genuine and caring with a contagious personality, my daughter and I just wanted to hang with her and we were on vacation! So many beautiful and cool items set up almost booth style all with different stories from different people. You can definitely find something in Here ? The owner (Auntie!) was equally as kind, funny and genuine. Awesome people. Awesome store. Great experience. This was definitely a highlight from our mother daughter trip. Stop here!”

“A cute store full of antiques and literary treasures! It's located right behind the Cottage of Sweets. This is a great shop for collectors and anyone who loves Jane Austen novels or Alice in Wonderland. They have a large variety of first editions of class novels, as well as collectibles, tea sets, and more. Love the vintage themes and aesthetic. Definitely a cute place to drop by for any bookworms out there!”
