“They usually have what I'm looking for and everyone in the store is so helpful. Special shout out to Heidi, who recently took the time to help me match a years-old sample of basic "white" paint with the same "white" -- and they actually had a fresh quart of it on the shelf! This is what a good general hardware store is all about: expert help and well-stocked shelves tailored to the local market.”
“You can’t beat Phil and his team…always helpful, knowledgeable, and welcoming. It’s rare to find this level of customer service these days. Proud to support the best hardware store in Pacific Grove!”
“Always love Ace Hardware! Never fails (and this one didnt disappoint) that every Ace Hardware Ive been in, I am greeted at the door, helped with where I need to go and someone always comes along to make sure ive found what I need. BEST customer service! And this Ace was just as pleasing! I will definitely be back now that I know I have one so close. Beats the bigger chains hands down!!! So happy!!!”
“This place is great. I’m sometimes amazed that Aces can stay open in today’s day and age but I’ll tell you this store has saved my butt so many times. Friday night the garage full of my just moved items is unsecured because my lock broke- they literally unlocked the joint 3min after they closed and opened up a shut down register. I didn’t tell them a sob story or say a word. They HAPPILY did it without the context. At the end of a long painful day/move this simple act of kindness literally brought me to tears when I got back in my truck. You’ll have my business for the duration of time I’m here in PG!! Acts like this matter more than people realize. This is the kind of business you don’t take for granted.”
“Sheila was so helpful! I brought in my plans and she helped me choose items that worked within the required measurements. The items she helped me pick out brought my Pinterest Boards to life. Thanks again for making this process easy and fun!”
“This store is a local gem if you're looking for a wide selection of high-end appliance handles and door hardware. The staff there is extremely knowledgeable and helpful, and they offer personal and responsive customer service regarding orders and lead times.”
“Honest and Reliable service, David Bjork, is reliable and knowledgeable in windows and doors, with David in your plans nothing is to small or big for both to tackle!”

“Their wood was so hard, my project will stand the test of time. The moment I walked in, I knew this was the hardest wood in town. I’ll go here to get my hard wood anytime. Thanks again, Hayward!”

“I purchased new Kolbe and Kolbe Windows about 5 years ago from Doc Henry to replace old windows in my 1935 bungalow. Doc was patient and very helpful choosing the right colors to compliment my house and they are now the jewels that make it shine. Because retrofits in old homes can create the need for tweaks as the years go by, I have always been able to count on Doc of Benchmark Windows to be there for me. He is a person of utmost integrity who stands by his products and makes sure all issues are addressed promptly. This is very important to me. I have been building and remodeling homes for the last 20 years and having a reliable, competent company for Windows and doors is of critical! So many vendors do not stand behind their products and once you have a problem and they don't want to be responsible? Well, then you have REAL problems. Doc has helped me out even when it wasn't his responsibility because that's the kind of person he is: helpful, courteous, knowledgable, professional and full of integrity. And his products are of exceptional quality. I cannot recommend Benchmark Windows highly enough!”
“I was at Home Depot the other day and I was asking for help to find celery seed. One of your employees was very helpful going thru each display thoroughly until she found it. Her name was Rosie. Great service. Wish more people were helpful like her.”
“Miguel at the Seaside store went above and beyond to help me out. We still couldn't find the deburring non-directional blade I was looking for, but he exhausted all available options to try and help me out. I don't know what you're paying him but I'm sure it's not enough! Top notch service! Miguel deserves a promotion and/or raise! Thank you again Miguel!”
