“About a year ago, Don was very helpful to our family. I was in town for business concerning my Dad's estate. Long story short, we needed to move a vehicle off Dad's property to sell it. I got Don's number from Auto Zone. He was willing to install a battery to get it running. As it were- a divine appointment, Don asked how much we were selling the vehicle for. “Usually very good quality parts. I've ordered parts from Go Westy over 25 times. Recently ordered a thermostat that was no good. The part should have been tested before being sold. Resulted in several days additional works, many more parts and lots of $ before discovering the thermostat was faulty. Very disappointing. Wish there was better quality control in this instance. Otherwise they have been a good source of quality in house engineered parts for vanagons. Staff is usually very knowledgeable and helpful.”

I initially went to Smittys in Los Osos and Allen's smog machine detects every tiny problem so you can't pass. I paid 60.00 at Smittys only to have it Fail smog test on a Prius!
Then went to CC Auto. No problems. Passed easily.
DO NOT GO TO SMITTYS. IT WILL NEVER PASS NO MATTER HOW GOOD YOUR CAR IS!
