“I needed a smog inspection at a star station. I first went to Gerber’s Auto Services in Cambria but they are not a star facility, though they did not ask me if I needed star facility when I made the appointment, so I got shutdown there by a surly women at the desk. I called Villa Automotive and they were super friendly on the phone. They confirmed they are a star facility and said come on in but with the age of my car it may take a while. I got there and the guy checking me in was very friendly. He took the car into the shop. While they ran the tests I relaxed and read a book in the spacious and comfortable waiting room. After fewer than 15 minutes the testing was completed. All in all a great experience.”

“Thanks so much to Phil and the gang. Me and my pregnant wife were on our way back to the bay area, and our radiator blew out on the freeway. We called in around 230pm and they were able to get us back on the road before they closed at 5pm. Phil was very hospitable and made what seemed like the impossible happen. You guys were life savers! Now we can get home before having to pay for a hotel and lose a day of work. I cant recommend them enough”

I had reached out to numerous shops in SLO about my leaking AC that was only blowing hot, and no one wanted to hear my situation and see if they would be a good fit. The guys here were very helpful, telling me exactly what they would try and that they wouldn't charge me if they didn't find anything. They stuck to their word and even waived the credit card fees for me. I brought my girlfriend's car here a year ago and same story, very honest, very helpful, not out to get you. I feel confident bringing my car here for the rest of the time I live in SLO. Would highly recommend.”

it was done very quick, no waiting, no fuss.. J C automotive rocks. the other part that they do is over the top. you can pay your DMV fee and get your tags at J C automotive. you do not have to deal with the DMV.
J C Automotive does not push anything on you. like other automotive place do. to make their quote in sales or parts. none of that trash being pushed at you.

“We put a request in on Yelp, and got 3 replies, $1100, $985, and a message that that included recalibrating my windshield camera, then Jose from Auto Glass Experts SLO came in with a $445 quote. I immediately asked about the camera recalibration, and he replied, they rarely need to be recalibrated, but if it does, I’ll come back and recalibrate it for $355. Well, that puts me ahead in either case, so I booked an appointment. Jose’s communication was quick and to the point, and he showed up on time, and had the job done in less than an hour, and guess what, no calibration needed. Thanks Jose you saved me $545-$655 and my new windshield is perfect!!!”
“Scott is awesome. I have always done my own vehicle repair and maintenance, but I just didn't have the time or energy to tackle the new timing belt on my VW tDi. I did a lot of research before deciding on using this shop, and chose it above the others based on reviews and the owner's excellent communication, even though it's 35 miles from my home.
I am very pleased with every aspect of Scott's work. For something as critical as a timing belt on a zero clearance engine, I wouldn't trust anyone else for the job. A++”

“This is the second time that I have brought my car to The Stable to prepare for a California Central Coast Region Porsche Club Laguna Seca track day, and I had another great experience. I believe that The Stable is the best auto shop with the finest staff with the highest level of Porsche knowledge and experience on the Central Coast, and probably in the entire State of California.
Brittain patiently explained all of my alignment set up options, and helped me select one that transformed my understeering car into a beautifully neutral-handling machine that felt like a part of me and went wherever it was pointed. This gave me the confidence to explore my limits and fully enjoy my time on track. He finished the work on time and on budget, and I couldn't be happier.
Nathan scheduled my service on the same afternoon as the mandatory Porsche Club technical inspection, which Guy and The Stable provide free of charge, complete with pizza and drinks, which saved me an extra trip. The Stable also graciously sponsors CCCR events, making them more affordable for everyone.
I always feel confident and comfortable when I bring my car here, and I think you will, too, and I do not hesitate to give the Stable my highest recommendation. If I could give 6 stars, I would!

Their prices are absolutely unmatched compared to the other shops I've been quoted through. Been taking my car here for the last 5 years and continue to do so.
