“Yes, they have a clean and well presented store. Yes, they have a great staff, many of whom are in their program.Yes, they have great otems at great prices.But the best review is that we had Beacon House pick up at an apartment this last week that was vacated. The team that showed up wasn't just nice, efficient, and hard working. They were great ambassadors of what not only what Beacon House does for the community but what they do for their clientele. To be able to hear how Beacon House had changed their lives was heartwarming. I had to engage them with this conversation to hear about their program. It wasn't any type of planned "pitch" about Beacon House. The comments from the drivers were heartfelt and sincere.Please donate items to them, buy from their store, and/or donate cash.This program is working and we need to support them.”
“This thrift store is an absolute gem! It is one of my favorite local shops to visit when I'm in search of something specific or just in the mood to shop! There are always sales going on of some sort and I never leave empty handed! The staff is super chill and I can't wait for the next time I go shopping here!”
“Was there on Friday, 16th June, 2023, at 5:00pm and the store was open. Entered the store of diverse antiques and collectibles. I enjoyed the variety of items available and my friend and I did make some nice fun purchases. The gentleman that helped us mentioned that they hadn't been opened much this year but were going to try to have regular week day later afternoon hours and some on the weekend. There are two phone numbers listed on Google maps. Not sure if the numbers are active or answered. We were at King Richard's Antique Mall, Whittier, CA, that Friday afternoon and this shop is just north about three blocks. Enjoy!”

“My sister introduced me to this thrift shop. I didn't know what to expect, but was so happily surprised. It's not a huge shop, which was perfect. You don't feel overwhelmed or feel likely to miss seeing something as with overstocked shops. Items are donated by locals and all proceeds go to benefit the city's homeless and low income.They sell lots of treasures- home goods, clothing, jewelry, and furniture. Things change daily and they have special deals going on weekly. Items are very reasonably priced and the store is run by super friendly volunteers. I bought a cool 1940s nurse book for $4 and a $2 Holland America tile. Vintage at its best!”

“I don't know why I have not shopped here more often. This is probably the cleanest thrift store I've personally ever been in, right down to the fact that it doesn't even "smell" like a thrift store. They do not accept clothes that smell, and they may wash garments before putting them on the rack. Sure enough, all of my new-to-me blouses smell like they've been laundered. And, of course, great prices for lightly used clothing--much of it name-brand. Also, the staff is the BEST! Super friendly, and they will ask you if you need any help. Indeed, all the staff were engaged in conversations with customers and they all looked happy to be there. When I happened to mention to one of them that I was shopping for clothes for a new job, she was curious enough to ask me where, and we had a nice chat. I'm not much of a shopper but I will make sure to go back to the Assistance League whenever I need more clothing.”
“Cool lil spot to do some thrifting! It's a cozy and welcoming location to explore and find cool pieces! I have found some awesome pieces for a great price (such as genuine denim jeans for less than $10!!). I will say though *some* items, not all, can be overpriced considering the wear and tear, overall design, and "age" of the item (I guess vintage will always be upped in price anywhere lol so no biggie), regardless they still have other awesome and affordable selection :-) CANT FORGET ABOUT THE ONE AND ONLY SUNDAY! Sunday is so cute, she definitely lifts the ambiance with her presence! I love how she lets you know when she's had enough petting Awesome place to visit for sure!”

“She's a cutie!! With the deals!! Was looking for a thrift store while I had some time before an appointment, and I am so glad I was close to this gem! I think the owners are a mom and daughter duo who were the sweetest, nicest people and they have good taste too! It's a small boutique, but you can tell it's curated. And the prices are great!!! I paid $4 for a short sleeve shirt and $3 for a cool ass bracelet, can't remember other prices but they also have a $1 rack outside their store. Can't wait to go back, and it seems like they get new inventory often!”

“I have to say this because is the truth. This shop is like none other. The employees are friendly, they talk to everyone and they like to make you feel appreciated. The merchandise is tops and the prices , spectacular! They have sales every day. You can get 2 huge plastic bags full of brand, semi used and new clothes for less then 50.00.
So if you are in town visiting or on vacation, stop by and see it for your self.

“What is going on! Amivet on South Street in Long beach, the Prices are sky high, an item is triple the price. What was $1.95 is now $3.95. NO LONGER any $,95 items. No longer the loyalty program , seniors now get a 10% discount rather than 20%. Only 1(one) color give you 50% off and there only about 10 items to choose from. Why are they asking for change donations when ALL the items were donated in the first place? Its cheaper at the $ dollar store.”
“This thrift store has a breadth of items; and really fair prices. I bought containers, work out equipment, children's musical instruments, clothing, and a few other things. The total for all was under $20. The women who work there, were adorable and very nice/helpful. This place is worth the stop! And/or drive here to shop!”

“Julie was such a pleasure! I loved walking in here and seeing how organized it is. The store is small but has a great variety. I appreciate that the clothes/books are just one set price. That allows me to just shop and browse the clothes with pleasure knowing the price. The selection varies but it is still a cute shop to add to your thrifting day. Cheaper than goodwill and I love to support a local business. They have beauty supplies, jewelry, kitchen supplies, clothing, paintings, books. Lovey little shop and you ring the bell once you are ready. Love that aspect because so I get to shop with ease. Also loved the student discount and the care that was put into wrapping up my mug! “I like em cheap, I like em kind, and I like em chaotic. This thrift store is everything a thrift store should be, for the community, serving the community, built by the community. This family owned NON-profit thrift store may not be the most curated or the most organized, but it is the most precious. Expect to take your time to unearth and review every piece, inevitably not every piece will be a hit, but for the gems you do find they are incredibly AMAZING. This thrift store is priced for the community and serves the homeless, ignore the reviews of people saying "piles of stuff", it's a f****** thrift store, MANAGE your expectations. The workers are kind and friendly, and the experience very memorable. Also let my dog join me in my shopping experience!!! PLUS PLUS PLUS: ONE DRESSING ROOM AVAILABLE WITH MIRROR!!!!
