The Best Western Chula Vista/Otay Valley Hotel is a chain motel that offers a mixed experience for its guests. While the rooms are generally clean and comfortable, with nice big TVs, the property faces some challenges. The check-in and check-out process can be strict, with the staff unwilling to provide any extra time or flexibility. Guests have reported issues with the rooms, such as a leaking bathroom light and a constantly dripping shower. The location, being close to the border crossing, also means there is significant highway noise. Despite these drawbacks, the hotel does offer some positive aspects. The staff is described as polite and helpful, with one guest noting the receptionist provided them with water late at night. The breakfast is also praised as being good. The hotel's proximity to the Chula Vista amphitheater and other nearby amenities, such as Aldi's and In-N-Out Burgers, make it a convenient option for some travelers. Overall, the Best Western Chula Vista/Otay Valley Hotel seems to be a typical chain motel, providing a decent but unremarkable stay for its guests. While it may be a suitable option for some, the mixed reviews suggest that travelers should have realistic expectations when booking a room at this establishment.

They are undergoing renovation and the rooms are not yet completed. I had a handicapped accesible room and the hand held shower was just dangling due to no bracket. The blackout shade was completely missing so the room was full of light all night.
