Hercor Hotel is a great value and pleasant spot, often described as a modern gem. The location is great and very near the SD Trolley station, making for easy trips to popular sites, Gaylord Pacific, and lots of retail. It is close to many dining options in easy walking distance. The staff are great, helpful, friendly, and always smiling. The personnel were great and generous with free bottled water and fresh fruit. The rooms are smartly stylish and the beds are clean and comfortable with good quality bedding. The housekeeping team does a great job cleaning. The hotel offers covered and open parking, secured by card access. A cooked-to-order breakfast is available in a lovely dining room lounge. Some guests note the rooms are small and without a mini fridge. The hot water gets warm but not truly hot, and the open-air hallway can be disconcerting. The neighborhood backs up to an actual residential area. Overall, it is a great price for a boutique hotel and many guests would stay here again.
We were looking for a hotel far from the downtown San Diego and in more quiet area. We found this one and it was a very solid option for the price. The staff were great with reservations and answering our question. The rooms were super clean and well designed. I’ll reserve this hotel for the future trips.

Stayed this past weekend while attending a concert nearby, definitely would come again and recommend. Staff were all very kind when we'd come and go and check-in/out was extremely fast and easy. The room was very comfy and the hotel overall was quiet despite the large amount of guests I know I saw upon arrival.

The lobby and the room itself were nicely furnished and looks very new. The receptionist was nice and offered me bottled water when checking in. The bathroom was clean and they have those LED bathroom mirror. Yes the walls were thin and I heard my neighbor talking.
