Decent and modern but will never go back. You need the room key to power the room and the complete power would flicker and go out at random times. Once while in the shower. There was no fridge and very little amenities. Worst part was when we came back from our concert around midnight, all the parking was taken up and was told to park on the street. In which there was none and we had to park 7 minutes away down the street.

The personnel were great. I was not prepared for the open air hallway found with motels. That was a bit disconcerting. The hot water got warm, but not truly hot if you are a hot shower fan. Ultimately though I WOULD stay here again. The beds were clean and comfortable. Just know the back of the hotel backs up to an actual neighborhood. Close to Gaylord Pacific and lots of retail.

Great price for boutique hotel. They need to put mini fridge in the room, though. Comfortable bed. The housekeeping team also did great job cleaning the room. The young lady who checked me in was nice and friendly. The older lady with gray hair who work in the morning shift wasn't to friendly when I reported the drained clogged but they got it fixed after I returned to my room in the evening.

Been staying here for years. Great location and great staff. Always smiling! I kinda wish I didn't have a bad shower, but great place overall.

It is comfortable to spend a few days ! The bathroom is large and spacious. The beds should be bigger. ;)

The room we had was a bit small but nicely decorated.
Many of the outlets in our room need replacing.

Perfect hotel for my dentist visit in Tijuana. I would definitely stay again if my crowns have a problem.

Don't book at this motel, my wife woke up with a tick on her back. We pack up and Immediately checked out, it took a week to get the manager on the phone and he won't refund us the nights. The shower was dirty, there was stains on the sheets, and the room was dusty. Avoid this motel at all cost.

Hercor Hotel is a great value and pleasant spot. The hotel is a modern gem in working class Chula Vista. Parking, both covered and open, was easy, plentiful and secured by card access. The location is very near the SD Trolley transit station at H street and I5 making for an easy trip to the popular sites. I learned how to take the Trolley and bus to La Jolla and Balboa Park. The staff were all helpful, friendly and generous with free bottled water and fresh fruit. On offer for an extra fee, is a cooked-to-order breakfast in a lovely second floor dinning room lounge. The four floors of this compact hotel are served by the fastest elevator I’ve been on in a while. The room was smartly stylish but small and without a fridge. The king bed was comfy and the bedding of good quality. I was annoyed by the fact that I had to stick a room key-card into a holder by the door to get the lights to work and keep it there. I walked out without my card more than once in my four night stay. Get an extra. The mini split AC was a nice quiet feature that I enjoyed. I have visited Chula Vista many times and found the Hercor my favorite so far. The neighborhood features many dining options in easy walking distance: popular taco spots like Tacos El Gordo; various Asian food spots; coffee and a terrific Starbread Filipino bakery. Starbread features hot from the oven little sweet bread rolls that became our favorite treat. There is a good sized mall at the end of the block with more dining and Costco is nearby. The price was one the cheapest in the listings. I was surprised and happy about the great value.

Never again! We were not satisfied. This place is just a renovated motel. The sheets were stained, and the double beds were full-size, not Queen. Carpets need to be replaced. Such a dark room, afraid to even see what more I would of found if it was brighter! We originally booked for two nights but chose to leave after just one, and at check-out the front desk told me there was no refund (since I booked with Expedia!). If our flight hadn’t arrived at midnight, I would have stayed somewhere else, but we had no other option. I would not recommend staying here.
