1045 Herndon Ave, ClovisI have had horrible experiences in the past at big box pet stores just like anyone else but Ashley, Mikaela and the General Manager at the Clovis location are beyond amazing. Their knowledge, patience and people skills make working with big box an absolute dream. You can tell this team truly cares about the animals in their care. I favor the poison dart frogs and while they are significantly more knowledgeable about them than most stores they are open minded and more than willing to listen to advice or suggestions when it comes to the care of the frogs. If they don’t know the answer to a question they don’t make up an answer to appease you they will admit their lack of knowledge and seek out your answer. I have multiple happy and healthy critters that I have purchased from this location and suggest type do the same!

Just one suggestion Make sure you have their Tip before picking your baby up because you have to pay up front. Then you have to walk all the way to the back again to give them their Tip. They are so sweet and gentle and accommodating with him. I'm so grateful that I found a groomer I can trust with my sweet old pup, Boston.

He helped my fur baby, Chuck, so much and also called twice just to check on him which impressed me. I called one evening and Dr. S answered at his office, as I thought I should maybe take him back in (over thinking things). He was very nice on the phone and said bring him in tomorrow and I will check him for you. He was very positive. Took him in again for the quick check and Dr.S was so thorough, and once again positive, which put my mind at ease. He is very dedicated, also kind and I will continue to take my sweet 4 paw son to him as needed. He truly cares.

Front staff was inviting and polite. Vet techs were very informative. Vet doc was nice and relatable and explained the situation well.
Now of course all this comes at a premium. They aren't overly expensive compared to some other places, but with the mindset that pets are expensive, prices are justifiable.

My baby girl, was later diagnosed with Cushing's syndrome and hypothyroidism, which was managed by Dr. Gill.
Dr. Gill was so caring and compassionate towards my little baby, and the way he took the time and effort to explain things was exceptional. He was thorough and consistent every time.
The previous negative reviews are not reflective of Armstrong Pet Hospital, I recommend all my friends and family with fur babies to the best in Fresno County- Armstrong Pet Hospital!

585 W Shaw Ave, ClovisI've been a very bad dog mom the last few months and couldn't bring him in to be treated for his skin issues. Finally I broke down and couldn't take it anymore, I had to get him seen asap, before he lost the other half of his fur.
Please judge me, I know I have been judging myself about this.
I noticed that Alta Animal Hospital was open late, which was a huge reason I hadn't taken him in, my schedule. I called to see if they had any openings in the evenings and they told me they could see my big ol goofball puppy dog the next evening. I was so excited!
The next day came and I brought my pupper in, everyone was so quick to greet him and not one person was afraid to touch him (he looked so bad that it looked like mange...yes, I know. Bad pet mom, here...but honestly just a broke one). They brought us back, did the examination and determined that it definitely was not mange, but recommended he spend the night to be able to find out the cause and best way to treat him.
I came and picked him up the next day, he didn't even want to leave! He in fact was trying to go back into the examination room instead of with me...that right there...that speaks volumes! Granted, his a great big baby. But still...he was poked and prodded, had a biopsy and still wanted to stick around!
Fast forward to almost a week later and I brought him back in tonight 5/14/24, to begin his new treatment plan. He was so excited to see his friends! He was giving them kisses and everything! We were able to come up with a plan that could hopefully work with my budget and still keep him on the mend. I too wanted to kiss everybody when I heard that! Lol. Just kidding. But seriously. I was grateful...so very grateful.
When we were heading out to the lobby, my big ol galloof tried to turn to go to the kennel. He was not wanting to leave his friends.
We ended up sticking around for a few extra moments, as while we were walking out, someone had come in with a cat in bad shape. They knew that they weren't able to do much to save her, and yet you could see the anguish in their eyes while talking to the poor kitty's owner and letting him know the only possible option to save her would be going to another that might be able to do the surgery. But the chances still weren't good.
Seeing everyone working there, especially the Vet, and how empathic they were to this poor guy and his sweet young kitty just sealed it for me.
I love the place I had been going to for nearly 20 years. But this one has hours thar work for me. Nothing against the other one, they seem ti run about the same, price-wise. But my great big boy that all but worships the ground I walk on would rather stay there with them than come home with me. Then working with my budget for the care he needs and seeing the anguish in their faces and eyes on not being able to save the poor little kitty...as words the Terminator said...I will be back! In a month, as a matter of fact! Lol

Before she was Very reactive on leash, pulled, ground sniffed, aggressive towards other dogs and bit the leash. After the 1 week training with Nate, we got back a respectful dog that now walks gently by our side and listens when on leash. We also got detailed written notes about how she did during her stay and how to continue her training. The Saturday rebound classes are incredibly helpful to continue working with your dog and learning from Nate. We are incredibly grateful for Nate’s dog whispering talents.
After looking at other trainers in Fresno, Dogspring training is the top choice! Thank you!

It’s not really in my part of town, but I believe if you are near and want a non Starbucks coffee shop you can come here and not be disappointed
