Sweet Dreams Floral Design
40114 CA-49 Ste A, OakhurstA Heartfelt Thank You to a Florist Who Turned Wedding Stress into Relief
Working with Mary at Sweet Dreams Floral was such a positive experience during what could have been a very stressful part of planning our family wedding in Yosemite.
I was working against a tight deadline, and finding a florist who could accommodate our needs was proving more difficult than I expected. From my very first email, Mary was quick to respond, professional, kind, and reassuring. She provided our initial quote promptly, and the pricing was reasonable.
Then came the moment every wedding planner dreads! The bride decided she wanted something completely different from the original floral design she had approved. I was honestly embarrassed to call Mary and ask for such a significant change, but she made me feel completely comfortable. She was gracious, understanding, and never made me feel that I was being difficult. I sent her the new vision, and she quickly prepared an updated quote.
As the wedding plans continued to evolve, our guest count and table arrangements changed, too. Just three days before the wedding, I realized we needed additional flowers. Even though we were past the normal deadline for changes, Mary worked with us to make it happen. She never made me feel like a burden, and she consistently approached every request with kindness and a willingness to help.
That meant more to me than she probably realizes. With so many moving parts and last-minute decisions, her responsiveness and flexibility relieved a great deal of my stress.
When we finally received the flowers and began creating our arrangements, we were delighted with how everything came together. We are definitely not professional florists, but with Mary's flowers, we were able to create arrangements that we were genuinely pleased with and proud to display at the wedding.
What stood out most to me was not simply the flowers, but the person behind the business. Mary treated us with patience and kindness at every turn, even when our plans changed repeatedly. She helped make a stressful situation feel manageable, and I will always appreciate that.
If you are looking for a florist who is responsive, accommodating, and genuinely kind, I would absolutely recommend reaching out to Mary at Sweet Dreams Floral. She was a wonderful person to work with, and I'm grateful she was part of such a special day for our family.

The Elderberry House
48688 Victoria Lane, OakhurstThe Elderberry House is such a unique spot in Oakhurst, especially if you're looking for a fine dining experience near Yosemite. The service is impeccable, the presentation of food was beautiful. Some courses were better than others, though, and a few flavors didn't quite live up to the presentation. Overall, a beautiful place for a memorable dining experience!

Deli Delicious #35 - Oakhurst & Hwy 41
40208 CA-41 A, OakhurstDespite living nearby for 3 years, this is the first time I came into Deli Delicious Oakhurst. I am familiar with their sandwiches and they are amazing! I have always preferred them over any other sandwich shop in Fresno. This Oakhurst location was nothing different. I went in to order 5 sandwiches. 1 of my employees has celiac disease and I haven’t been able to purchase her lunch all season. So I asked the very polite cashier if it were possible to order a vegetarian wrap for someone who is allergic to gluten. The girl then went to ask another woman who was making the sandwich’s. She mentioned to me that even if she tried everything, new gloves, clean tools, etc that gluten was still in the air where they were making the sandwich’s. Which I did not know. But then she said, I could make it in the back but I can’t guarantee anything. I agreed because she seemed to really understand the gluten allergy and I thought my employee would appreciate this and feel confident about eating it. So I took the wrap and 4 sandwiches and tipped 18% because wow! Thank you for showing me such care when she didn’t have to try.
I was right and my employee did consume the wrap after I told her the care that was taken with it.
My employee confirmed today that she got ZERO REACTION from her wrap. It was a lettuce wrap, vegetarian, no cream cheese, the works minus onions. She does carry prescription medication in the event that she does accidentally consume gluten so it wasn’t life or death. I want to point that out.
Thank you to the workers who helped me that day. It meant a lot to see the care you guys had for myself and for my friend. Y’all have made me want to be a better person when I serve people.
